Last week we heard the real reason behind the fight on the set of Grey's Anatomy between Patrick Dempsey and Isaiah Washington. Apparently Isaiah yelled a very hateful statement at one of the other cast members. He said, “I’m not your little faggot like (name deleted).” And today T.R. Knight has confirmed he is gay, which basically confirms the fight was about sweet George. T.R. said,
"I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there. While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me."
So, now the buzz is Isaiah may be kicked off the show. It kinda makes sense... he is after all unable to perform surgeries. What do you think? Will Dr. Burke be written off the show?

WOW, I had no idea about George! Not that there's anything wrong with that....lol
1I feel like there's a lot of stuff being taken out of context here. George didn't need to come out and tell us that and I really do feel that this is an internal issue that does not need to be resolved on the show.
2I think that Isaiah is a big fat jerk for outing his castmate! No wonder Patrick Dempsey wanted to beat him down. That is so horrible to do to another person.
3WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH BABY! wow! I didn't see this one coming at all! What an ass Isiah is for saying that, using those words. mean
4That is a terrible word to use. I wonder how the conversation got so heated that would even come up
5Apparently this was after the fight btwn Partick and Isiah. Isiah is making hiself look reaallly bad and jealous
6that sort of behavior is really unacceptable. what a horrible word to use and what a mean thing to say about your co-worker!
7Especially it seems as if T.R. Knight had nothing to do with the two of them fighting
8What a jerk. It makes him look like a big ol' ignorant *ss. I wondered about TR after I read what his other acting jobs had been prior to Grey's. I did not think it sounded like a straight mans resume
9Sorry--hateful slurs are unacceptable. Isiah should know better.
10Isn't this a serious rush to judgement especially since it does say "apparently" and no one is being given the credit for actually saying "I was there, this is what was said and why?" Man, this witch hunt burn em at the stake as if we all have halo's stuff is getting kinda scary. Not saying it was right if indeed it did happen as reported. I'm saying that until that time how about holding your roll. JMHO
11ummmmmmm... ok... they are actors, do your job and go home
12george is my favorite on the show. =)
13I agree with Edwina...enough with "sources", "close friend", etc. We should just wait until there is an official statement about the fight and Isaiah admits to saying such a thing. Hello, look what magazine stated this...THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER! Real trustworthy.
14If what Mr. Washington said is true, his ass should be fired. There is no room in modern society for that sort of hate language.
15If thats what was said then shame on him...i LOVE Greys and i am really not that big of a fan of his character so if he goes to better the lives of the rest of the cast that i ADORE then more power to giving him the boot..

If you don't like speculation, then why are you people on a gossip blog?
17Ditto Padraigin..!
18i agree w/ blondsugar. is it wrong that i'd hate to see dr. burke go?
19Awww Georgie!!!
I'm not big on Burke. I like Christina but Burke annoys me. So I wouldn't really care if he left. Maybe it'd make Christina more emotionally open and such. *shrug*
20Pad, I think Popsugar needs to make that as the headline of the whole website.
21Ok, let's think about this a minute.
If roles were reversed, and TR called Isaiah the N-word, you'd better belive they'd fire TR in a heartbeat!
Spreading hate should not be tolerated!
22Padraigin, who in particular are you addressing? Up to your post, I don't see where anyone has said they didn't like speculation, or being here. If by chance you're commenting on *my* opinion to maybe wait until more proof is offered before deciding before the rush to judgment, I'm sorry you feel that way. There's speculating, and then there's lowering the hammer on someone based on unconfirmed info. I'd like to think someone would give me the benefit of the doubt under the same circumstances.
23I don't understand WHY this issue even had to come out.
24Show me a place of work where people DON'T have tiffs now & then.
bluesuze, I was just going to say the same thing! I don't even watch this show, but of course I've been hearing all of these stories like anyone else. First of all, if these men were working a regular 9-5 office job, Isaiah and Patrick would both be fired in an instant. There is zero tolerance for that kind of behaviour in a normal workplace, why should Hollywood be any different? Furthermore, since when has it been acceptable to call someone the f word? Judging someone based on their sexuality is ridiculous. As ridiculous as religion based ignorance and racism. Even still, guaranteed that if TR dropped the N bomb, the sh!t would hit the fan. I hate ignorance, and I also hate double standards.
25Whoa. My head is spinning.
26I don't even watch this. hahaha.
27Ok that's not a nice thing to say but he is homosexual so it's not like he was making it up. I don't think he said it for no reason something must have really pissed him off to have such a reaction, so he was probably disrespected in some way too. They're making a huge deal out of this, they need to leave Isaiah alone, I like him!
28I honestly believe this "quote" is made up. No where in the original reports of the fight so they say anything about him calling anyone that name. And as soon as he comes out the nature of the fight changes
29I didn't have any idea about TJ (George) either. I love his character and given the choice, would keep him over Burke any day.
My guess is that most shows have spats between cast members but what Isaiah "allegedly" said is downright mean and reeks of homophobia.
In the end the producers will need to determine if the cast can continue w/the awesome chemistry, given this incident. I always say that if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. And given Burke's "injury" and likeliness that he won't operate again, dump him!
30Oh, when it first came out I thought that Isaiah said "I'm not your b*tch like .......", so who really knows what was said?
Anyone? Anyone? I'm asking...does anyone know what was really said?
31That Isaiah guy or whatever sounds like an arrogant diva. Hello, he ASSAULTED someone onset and then called someone else a slur.
Keep him on the show and he'll pull an OJ on someone.
What a beast!
32man who cares. this show is so overrated anyway.
33Not liking the OJ comment above.....what the f$%k is that supposed to mean
34i'm in atlanta and some dj on the radio said that the producers actually DID decide to recast Isiah Washington for his comments. i was like, ok, i thought this was just speculation on blogs?! so i am so thoroughly confused now. i've been trying to find something to back up what this dj said, but i can't. who knows. i think t.r.'s awesome though.
35What station? Was it Q100? I love the Bert Show.
36That's totally a surprise there! T.R. getting into the spotlight now! I thought it was just the McDreamy and Burke deal here. o.O
I still love George
He's a cutie on the show.
37Yeah, Edwina, I meant you, hon. "Witch hunt"? "Burn 'em at the stake mentality"? Please. Your whole posts smells like self righteousness. No one is going around firing Isiah Washington, just commenting on whether or not he indeed said such a thing.
38Im confused by the story lol
39I don't watch it.
