Too bad they're not Trader Joe's bags...they are so dang adorable! I have the bigger one that has a pirate ship and bananas on...it was about $3!! Can't go wrong there. TJ's = aweeeesome...and they have three buck chuck wine too!

I remember the days of drinking Two-Buck Chuck in college. And good for SMG for bringing her own bags to the store.

I always bring my whole foods bags to Trader Joes whatevs. Good for you SMG, saving the environment one bag at a time.

whenever i say i don't need a bag the checkout person looks at me like i lost my mind. one day at target, my husband and i had 3 items: luna bars, a case of diet pepsi and deoderant. we said that we didn't need a bag and the lady looks at us with an incredulous look on her face and said "you don't need a bag for any of it? how are you going to carry it?" um . . . in my HANDS.

When I bring in my canvas and Whole Foods bags into the grocery store, the bagger is always confused. It's really weird. Dude, just put my stuff in these bags! And I don't need a bag for a 96-ounce bottle of Tide. Just put it in the cart naked!

I love Trader Joe's. I have canvas bags from Shaw's and i bring them into other stores. Oh well. I have to laugh about the naked tide. I am the same way. NO i do not need a bag for my milk!

Seriously when I buy bigger items that I can carry I dont put them in a bag and people always look at me crazy. I loathe using plastic bags cuz they are so bad for the environment but I reuse them to pick up my dog sh*t so it makes me feel a little better lol. I love SMG her and Freddy seem to have such a normal, loving marriage. I love how they stay out of the limelight and keep their life between them, its very mature.

YAY for reusable bags! The baggers at my commissary always compliment me on my Green Bags. I don't understand why more people don't use them.

Poor Sarah Michelle does look pissed off in that first photo -- I can't imagine what it would be like to have people follow me to the grocery store! (Especially because when I go, it's usually after a workout!) In any case, props to her for modeling eco-friendly behavior. In 1999, 14 MILLION TREES were cut down to make paper bags! Plastic bags are even worse -- they take 500 - 1,000 years to decompose in a landfill, and over 100,000 birds and marine species die each year from strangling or suffocating in plastic debris. It makes me crazy when I see people shopping at organic/eco-friendly places like TJ's and Whole Foods and then using a plastic or paper bag! Okay ... rant over.

I use the plastic bags from the store because I reuse them. It's one thing to just take the bag and throw it out, but I use them in the garbage cans in my bathroom and the excess I take back to the store for their recycling program. And I don't care, but you won't catch me mixing foods, especially meats. After managing restaurants and learning about cross contamination, I'd rather be thought of as a loser that some judgemental idiot who gets sick or dies from a food illness.

So superstars just shop like the rest of us
