MTV is casting for a new series that features a young couple in the process of getting married. If you are between the ages of 18 and 21 and plan to get married before January 15, 2007 and want to share your love story with the world, then you should apply. Here's more:

Each couple chosen will be the center of a half-hour show that takes us through their planning, their actual wedding and beyond. In addition to sharing how they met, how he proposed and what her dress will look like, we also want to explore the issue of age and marriage...does it matter or not?
What do their family and friends think? How will their life change once they are married? They must be willing to let cameras into their life in order for us to capture their entire wedding experience!
MTV sure is looking for a young audience but we bet we would totally get sucked into this show. Who doesn't want to watch a love story and see someone's wedding in the works? Let's just hope the men don't get to see the bride's special dress before the big day. If you're interested, just click here to learn more.

You know some people will go through all this just to be on MTV and then they'll get divorced right after.
1Hasn't MTV learned what Reality TV does to your marriage? Thank God I'm already married....
2~Love like you've never been hurt.~
O M G! I could've totally done this last year!
LOL, I'm JK. I would never do something like this.
3ages 18 to 21???? lol and on MTV thats a doomed couple
4The MTV curse will strike again!
5What else is new with MTV? Another great way to increase the divorce rates and portray marriage as a game.
6This show is know different than the Bridezilla shows and stuff. There is a million wedding shows out there. TLC has had A Wedding Story for years, and it's just fine.
7*no, not know
8I'd get sucked in if I had MTV.
9lol, Pimp My Bride.
1018 - 21? that can't be good.
LOL!!! .. "Pimp My Bride" Naturally, that has to be the next series out there.
1. Pimp My Ride
112. Trick My Truck
3. Pimp My Bride
18-21??? What a JOKE
12wtf 18-21, mtv is so ridiculous, lets just promote young marriage which many times (not all) doesn't work...I can imagine how many people will be getting married just to be on the show...yeah and they do already have "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?" which is well done. MTV is getting desperate...
13I married at 19 and we're going on 8 years now so it does work out sometimes, but no way would I have broadcast our lives on MTV (or any network) like that. I think people will do it just to get their 15 minutes of fame then have it annuled later.
14Why does it have to be getting married freaking MTV Why cant it be having a baby Im flipping Due Jan 15 07 lols ahhh I wanna be on tv ::POUTS::
15--------------------
The baby in my belly made me do it I swear.
I agree MTV And Marriage doesnt do well. But I got married at 18 we have 2 kids now and we are still going strong Itll be 3 years (of marriage) in Feb
But this really is no different then Bridzilla or a wedding story its just focusing on a
younger crowd and lots of people want to marry younger now days. And not all are doomed to fail.
16--------------------
The baby in my belly made me do it I swear.
Damn, too bad I am too old.
!! I would totally do this if I needed 15 minutes of
fame and a messy divorce
17I'm 18 and I just can't image getting married so young! I really don't see myself tying the knot before I'm about 28...
18This is the dumbest idea ever. MTV needs to play a little more music and a little less reality.
19I got married at 18 and we are going strong (2 years Nov 6th! What! What!)
20Congrats Layla! My BF got married at 19 and she is already at the 1.5 year mark!
I don't think getting married on MTV is a very good idea. Something I would NEVER do!
21This is honestly one of the most stupid things I have heard of in a long ass time.
Number 1, it's MTV, has the public NOT seen what it has done to all those reality TV couples, Nick & Jessica, etc?
Number 2, people who get married at 18-21 WILL be divorced in 10 years. They're too young to realize what they want. So dummies are just going to get married so they can be on TV!
On a b*tchier note, the people on here who are leaving comments that say, "I got married at 18, and I've been married for two years," big deal. Two years is nothing.
You truly don't know what you want until you're in your late 20's.
That being said, good luck.

22I'm 18 and I really don't see myself getting married before I'm like 28!
23This show is the dumbest idea ever but will probably become one of my guilty pleasures anyway
Early congrats, Layla.
I got married at 20, and we are still going strong.
Success in marriage doesn't primarily hinge on age. Not everyone is just thinking about going to clubs, sleeping around, and shopping in the 18-21 year old range.
I do think that putting your marriage out there on MTV or elsewhere is never a good idea, as we have all seen.
24Haha Marycherry! I hate to say this, but I'll prob watch it too!
25Pimp My Bride
26Will they also provide funds for a divorce attorney?
27I know I'll tune in to the show. I don't see how it is any different than all of the other wedding shows.
& So what about the age!.. Its not you, so don't worry about it
28Lol, Sounds like something I will watch.
29I am married. My husband wanted a big church wedding,
so we had one. Some people may just do this, wow MTV.
Don't these people know that MTV Reality shows + wedding/marriage = disaster & divorce???
30Because going through your first years of marriage on MTV has worked out so well for other couples.
31And that being said, if I had mtv, I would totally watch it, cause i'm ADDICTED to all things wedding related.
32~Trust Fate*Have Hope*Love Always~
Well, it seems like MTV is out on a mission to destroy the marriages of America's young people! What is their problem? I guess there will probably be young ones foolish enough to have not learnt from all the breakups.

Don't tick me off. Or you'll get it.
I can honestly say I don't think MTV has a thing to do with ruining people's marriages. So what if the cameras are there, eventually the cameras will leave and that's when you work on the problems you have. Just because MTV has had 2 famous couples get divorced doesn't mean a damn thing. It's just like people saying military has a high divorce rate and it's all the deployments and military's fault. No, if you love someone you will stick by them. No matter what the surroundings are.
34These people just didn't want to be married, plain and simple.
My sister got married at 18, and they're a little past 9 years now. She's almost disproven Sweetascandi81's blanket statement that everyone who gets married at that age "WILL be divorced in 10 years". Not quite, but almost. I think getting married that young is pretty crazy and likely to go wrong, but I don't think it's necessary to tell all the young brides who've already posted here that their marriages are doomed.
35Sweetascandi, let me clarify something for you, okay? My husband and I have been together for almost 5 years, married 2. What's going to change in the next 8 years of marriage? I don't think it's very fair at all for you to sit there and say that MY marriage is doomed. You know nothing about me, my husband, or my marriage. Two years may not seem like a lot, and I'm not sure if you have ever been married, but the first couple of years is very hard. So if you could not ASSUME that every young marriage will end up in a divorce, that would be great. Kay?
36ooh, yeah, I read sweetascandi's remark, I got married at 20 and we've been married 6 1/2 years so far. sh*t, we're doomed, I guess, huh? Couldn't possibly make it another 3 1/2!
37Uhoh, times a'ticking.
38My little sister's been with the same guy for 13 years....started being bf and gf at age 13.....married 8 years.......wanna comment on that one?
Believe in Magic, or we'll have to take your soul!
39You know, I even understand why some people are skeptical of younger marriages, of course SOME couples need to mature BUT don't sit there and tell me that my marriage will not work. AND THEN tell me my 2 year anniversary is not a big deal.
40Eeeeew...did my comment come across as bit@hy? The wanna comment on that one.....really wasn't meant rudely....just clarifying and yes my little sister is 26, sooooo doesn't really mesh with what's being said.
Believe in Magic, or we'll have to take your soul!
41My aunt and uncle got married at 20 and 22, respectfully. They have been married for 27 years.
42Nice Jenna! I want a long lasting marriage.

46Oh, Layla......he SO is, girl. Don't be in denial
He's cuter than Bam.
47
48ummm Bam's pretty cute Layla....lol...
Believe in Magic, or we'll have to take your soul!
49Oh, Bam is waaaaaay hotter than Travis. Travis always looks so smelly. Plus, he has weird eyes and a big nose.
