David Beckham and the LA Galaxy came home last night to enjoy their first win, a 2-0 defeat over DC United, helped out by a goal by Becks himself. Not only did he score, but he played 63 minutes of the game, which hopefully will quiet some of his recent detractors. The only unfortunate thing is that he kept his shirt on the whole time. Fancy Victoria and their three adorable boys watched on from their luxury box, as usual. About the game, Beckam said, "It’s very satisfying. I wanted to get off to a good start. I’m happy." Yay for Becks (and the hotness)!

Beckham keeps re-injuring the same ankle because L.A. is so anxious to prove that he was worth the money, and can't afford to give him the time off to heal properly. Beckham's ego just wants to get the credit of popularizing soccer in America, and his robot wife just wants to get her orange mug in all the tabloids. Farcical!
