As sad as we are to see the summer quickly coming to a close, it means that there are a bunch of awards shows headed our way. First up is this weekend's Teen Choice Awards, followed by the VMAs, and finally the Emmys. We just learned that this year's Emmys host is the hardest working man in showbiz Ryan Seacrest - who will still interview a few celebs on the red carpet. Clearly the buzz is building so tell us are you excited for the fall awards season?

1OH I love it, I love seeing what everyone is wearing it's fun. Kind of weird Ryan does it but whatever. I think Queen Latifa would be fun on the red carpet.
2I am so sick of all of the award shows that they have.
3I enjoy the VMA's and it's hard to miss them as MTV will air them repeatedly for the month following the ceremony

5Seriously folks...havent we had enough of Ryan Seacrest yet?? He isnt all that....and certainly not a good choice for host. I may or may not watch....the excitement factor just isnt there with his "metrosexual" highness. heheheh
6How many suits is Ryan Seacrest doing!!! He's got to be the most annoying man in show business, and yet he keeps getting work. I continually roll my eyes when I see him, but I swear one more extreme roll, and I'm suing him for causing me to go blind!!!
7I won't be watching the VMA's this year. I think aside from The Hills, I truly have outgrown MTV!!!
8I had enough of Ryan Seacrest YEARS ago. Like before American Idol even started. Having to hear him for 3 hours a day on the radio was too much.
9Not a fan of any awards shows, I just can't sit and watch them for that long - I just read up on the happenings the next day, and check out the fashion then.
10Meh, the only award shows I really watch are the Oscars and Golden Globes. I might catch part of the VMAs some time, but I'm not on the edge of my seat with anticipation.

23Ryan Seacrest needs to learn how to interview. He doesn't listen to answers to then think of subsequent questions to delve into more detail. He appears to be too busy concerned about himself than to focus on the person he's interviewing. I'm sure he is a nice person, but his talent is so very limited. Please let his 15 minutes of fame end soon.

I've got to be honest, I mainly only watch Awards for the gowns and hairdos. I just love to look at the fashion.

35These days the people who are being honored haven't really done much. Back in the day, at least then most of the celebrities had done multiple achievements.
36I find Ryan Seacrest to be one of the most shallow and annoying people on the face of the planet, why must he always be everywhere, it's like he's plotting to take over the world or something. I remember when he was on cheesy teen gameshows when I was growing up, and it's like how did he get this far, and why did we let him.
37Anything Ryan Seacrest takes part in is definitely NOT on my list of things to watch (I tolerate him during Idol auditions, but that's it).
Besides, haven't awards shows gotten a bit out of hand? There are SOOO many that they hardly mean anything anymore. It seems like they come up with new awards to give out so that they all have a reason to get in front of the cameras again...
Am I alone in that opinion?
38You are definitely not alone. I tolerated Seacrest for 3 seasons of Idol and when year 4 came around and the show was even more commercial and cheesy AND still had Seacrest, I gave up on it!!! And I agree that Award shows have definitely gotten out of hand...far too many, far too boring, far too excessive, and far beyond the realm of the people!!! I don't need to waste hours of my time seeing actors and the like praising each other and themselves!!

42Yeah, I just don't understand why he's getting a good gig like the Emmys. He's such a cheeseball! It's been awhile since I've watched -- have the Emmys totally gone downhill, or what???!!!
43Why do these silly celebs have SO MANY freakin award shows?? WHAT DO THEY DO? Are they saving lives? Are they helping the future of our kids? Sure watching celebs, watching TV and Movies are fun, but they don't deserve "awards" for being and actor or actress!! Haha! Maybe more like Teachers, Nurses, Firefighters, EMS, etc.....

46Yeah I don't get that universal appeal of Ryan seacrest ... I mean he's got so may things going ... even Larry King thinks that Ryan should take over from him - I bet you he can't formulate an actual well-informed opinion on anything current affairs - war,tax etc. Yeah he's fine on E! news but Real News - polar opposite , don't think his little brain can handle that!
I don't mind the Emmys but Ryan Seacrest!! Argh! Can't this guy just disappear.
47Awards shows are always just too "patting ourselves on the back" most of the time it has nothing to do with talent, like the "billboard" awards....just cause you sell em, doesnt mean they are good CDS. And the Oscars are all political.

49we usually make a party out of it, and everyone is getting together and watch, it's fun!
i'll watch the red carpet stuff, then probably fast forward through all the filler just to catch who wins what. while i wouldn't particularly be interested in any of the fall awards shows to begin with, seacrest kills it for me
