Though I'm not exactly a Beck [1] fanatic, I do own all of his albums, and I appreciate the musician's expert ability to dabble in so many genres. Most recently, he's handing us an experiment in country music in the form of a cover tune: "Forget Marie," written by the recently deceased Lee Hazlewood [1].

Recorded in Nashville and now streaming on Beck's homepage [2], the ambling cowboy tune will appeal to fans of Beck ballads. The ethereal but quirky vibe reminds me a lot of his album, Mutations [3], which is one of my favorites. I especially like the whistling at the end. Give it a listen and tell me what you think.
