This whole thing took me by complete surprise! As in

Well, if you look at the most recent pictures of them together, it's Ryan who is the one that looks the most unhappy. Reese had somewhat of a smile on her face, so either the whole cheating thing is news fabricated by perez hilton or Reese is better at hiding her true feelings.

I don't think he cheated but who knows, I guess. This was shocking news but at the same time I'm not all that surprised. It is fickle Hollywood.

They probably just grew apart and I think they got married too soon. I don't know if he cheated, but until it's confirmed I'm inclined not to believe it.

Is anyone really surprised? They have looked miserable for years now. Especially him. She got knocked up at a young age and they tried to make the marriage work. I didn't think it would last, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. They did try hard to keep it together though. You could tell Ryan had issues from that award show when he said something like 'you open it you make more money than me'.

I think it is the seven year itch... for him. i feel bad for the kids. divorce sucks no matter how you look at it. there are three sides to every story and unfortunately we will never know the truth...not that its really any of our business anyway.

I don't think it necessarily means that was cheating involved. However, for a couple with young kids to separate, there's gotta be something really serious that makes it impossible for them to salvage the relationship.

I'm not suprised at all. I predicted this a longgggggg time ago when Reese was doing all those movies back to back, and Ryan was put on the back burner. Two actors together is definitly not a good thing, especially when one is a way bigger star than the other.

I'm honestly not surprised. They have never been my favorite couple and I knew they would end, just like Brad and Jen. Both couples never ever looked happy.

I feel extremely sad for their children though. I hope Ava and Deacon are okay.

Not all guys cheat, but I'm just saying, as a guy, being tied down that young to a family was probably not the best way to go. It's all fun in the beginning, but a guy that good looking with that many options doing what he does, cheating on her was probably a no brainer. you'd be amazed at what guys are willing to risk (family, jobs, friends) just to be with a "new" girl. I find it's worse with guys who haven't had a chance to sow their wild oats early on.

having said that, not all guys cheat, i haven't cheated ever, and I'm not saying Ryan cheated. It's just a possibility and one that shouldn't come as a surprise.

That’s totally sad. He doesn’t seem to be on the same page as she is. Just what I get from his recent interviews and such. Its sad but ya know it happens. Im sure the reese bashing will start but its always sad when people do not work out esp when at one point they seemed so in love and they have children.

Pud in a sense though he brought the whole young family thing upon himself. Sure there were things she could do but there are things he could have done as well. Still so sad for the kids

Wow I have friends who weren't this upset when their own parents divorced. Truth is, we have no idea what kind of people these two really are. They look nice when you put them together, and they have a beautiful family. Outside of that we don't know what their marriage was like behind closed doors. Yes, it's unfortuanate, but we can't make up stories about these two being such a great couple when we have no idea.

I'm not going to voice my opinion on what went wrong. But this is truly sad, I thought that they were such a happy couple and that they'd actually last, it's truly upsetting when such a beautiful family breaks up, especially since there's children involved.

Sooo, soooo sad.... but they did get married REALLY young, and the main reason was because Reese got pregnant. I was hoping they could make it work.

Reese was more successful than Ryan whcih made them fall apart. Simple law of life.

Not surprised at all either...I've been saying for awhile now that only a matter of time before they split. He just couldn't handle her being the shining star, from what I've heard. I also think she's got a nasty beotch side to her, something else I've heard through the grapevine.

i think it's probably some of what stylish said. i also kind of think that behind closed doors reese can probably be a pretty big b*tch. if someone is that oozingly sweet...they can usually be just as viciously mean. it's a stereotype of southern women too..they're nice til they're not (no offense any belles out there) but i just saw it coming. whatever the reason..they have looked in agony when they were out together...

Thank you BlondSugar. I wasn't that upset when my parent's got divorce. Hell, I encouraged it.

Some people shouldn't stay married. It's sad, but if there's a lot of animosity and fighting they are better off.

imho, short of abuse, couples should do everything humanly possible to not divorce. people assume that because they are not "happy" that is a good enough reason to tear apart a family. marriage is about alot of things responsibility, love, commitment and hard work. too many couples sell themselves short when it comes to that. in ryan and reese's case i think the fact that each of them had movies in the past few years shows that they maybe didnt try. but who knows for sure?

i'm still kinda in shock cause i was pulling for them, but i guess not all good things can last forever *tear*

I think it fell apart because they got married so young. I think Reese said something about that before, that you have to work at the marriage when you marry young because you're growing up together or something like that, so I think if Ryan was cheating, it was because of bigger problems.

I agree with you pink_magnetism....Maybe they just grew apart. Hopefully it wont be messy for the kids sake.
