Brad Pitt took off the hotness hard hat and showed off his salt and pepper beard to talk about his green house building project in New Orleans yesterday. He may be getting older, but I'm going to pin the fine wine principle on this one (you know, better with age). This morning the first part of his interview with Ann Curry will air on the Today Show and in it he'll talk about his work in NO and what it means to help rebuild the iconic city. He says,
"This is an important city...It's important to us culturally. It's also an important city to us economically...I know a lot of the people here. I care very much for the area...I see a great responsibility."
Brad's project may only happen one house at a time, but he's clearly got his heart in the right place. I can't wait to see his whole interview (and how many questions about Angelina and the kids Ann tries to work in).

What's with this family and their all-white outfits?
I'm not a huge fan, but he is undeniably handsome, for sure!
1Oh boy lol another post about Brad
2I dont find Brad attractive at all - and hes getting gray hair!
3Awesome of him to do that!
4So what he has gray hair! Most people who are his age do!
5So what he has gray hair! Most people who are his age do they just cover it up with dye! I say good for him being comfortable enough in his own skin!
6he was on the news a lot down here. at first i thought i was an old clip, but then i found out about this. i don't think it's a pr stunt like people are saying. i think that his intentions are in the right place. i don't care for him as an actor, but he seems like a nice, down to earth person.
7he's 43 right? Most people 43 have gray hair?
8hotstuff. I sent the thing about the helicopter incidents but POPSUG flagged me. So I tried to be clever and sent the address separately, so you can read it if you put the 2 together.
9Wow, he is aging nicely I think!
10Too funny... I know 43 seems ancient to some of you, but no -- most people who are in their early 40's (like me!) don't have grey hair. lol...
11thats what I thought. I'll be there in 3 years and I don't even have one yet...knock on wood.
12hehehe... Yeah, no worries. I didn't magically sprout a bunch of grey hairs when I turned 40, so I doubt you will either.
13he makes me think dirty thoughts.
14LOL, except for the lucky 43 yr olds who don't have gray YET!
15i really don't get the appeal of brad.
16hehehehe... I suspect when those grey hairs do start sprouting, the colorists at my hair salon will come to know me quite well!
I do have to say, though, that the grey hair on BP just gives him a more distinguished look -- I find him more attractive with it than without it (same goes for George Clooney -- YUM!!!).
17He's going age like Robert Redford or Paul Newman.. still turning heads in their 60s.
18Oh wait.. make that well into their 70s. I forgot Newman and Redford are past the big 70.
19Oh you said the magic words Ginger -- Robert Redford. Now HE was seriously yummy in his day (a little aged nowadays, but still a handsome man)! Paul, too, but ohhhhh baby could Redford curl a girl's toes!
20On men, grey hair is charming.
21Especially as Hubbel Gardner in the Way We Were. Whew!! What a hottie.
22I saw a pic of James Dean the other day and I swear it looked just like Brad Pitt. I never saw the resemblance before.
23Yay! I love Brad and am so glad for what he's doing.
24I agree the gray hair somehow makes him more distinguished almost gives a certain depth. I used to see him as a spoiled pretty boy with no concerns but clearly he's relaxed enough not be all about himself and take hisself so seriously. Someone like Brad who has always kinda been Hollywoods pretty boy, I think it almost takes a bit of courage for him to show his gray. Hollywood is so superficial! Whereas Clooney wasn't always the loved pretty boy...at least not when he was on Facts of Life. He kinda won hollywood over at an older age.
25George Clooney I just don't get. I just wonder why he doesn't want to settle down with one woman..have kids..but then again I'm a woman who my kids are everything to me..I guess I will never understand the thought processes of a man.
26George is a weird one. I don't get the appeal of him. But like Ginger said, Brad will be still turning heads when he's a very old man. And Paul Newman was definitely sexy back in the day. Ever see 'Cat On a Hot Tin Roof'? *drools*
27JOIN THE CLUB! hehehehe... I've stopped trying to understand the thought processes of men and just enjoy them for the wonderful distraction that they are.
Oh, and seriously hotstuff -- that is one killer avatar!
28It's 3:20am here..I can't believe I've stayed up this late on a school night (for the kids)
See you all later and hope you have a good night/morning
29lhomey
enjoying them for the wonderful distraction they are...lol
30Great comment!
I think Brad is getting better with age. He is finally turning into a man and has left the "pretty boy Pitt" behind. I like him this way much more and I bet Angelina does too.
31Good one lhomey - the distraction that they are! And Redford as Hubbel - yes I agree....swoon material. And George Clooney, he's one fine man. A lot of men do seem to get better with age Clooney is definately one of them and I suspect Brad will be the same.
32Thanks homey you know I'll take Johnny ANY way I can get him!
33Still, the hottest dad.
34I applaud what hes doing, even tho Im not a fan..I find it ironic tho, he flies in on a private Jet, puts on a hard hat and lets them take his picture...
35haha lhomey. i gotta say...i love men, can't live with 'em, can't live without them.
and i agree, i'm glad brad got over the pretty boy phase. i never found him attractive until about 2 years ago. he just looks so d*mn good now. and seeing how much of a doting dad he is just skyrockets his sexiness stocks through the roof.
36I never thought of him as the standard pretty boy, because he was always willing to dress down and play more interesting roles, and in his interviews he seemed pretty down to earth.
Look at some of his earliest big movie roles... Thelma & Louise, Kalifornia, True Romance.. none of those characters were very redeeming, and some looked pretty greasy. Then there is Twelve Monkeys.
Even some of his pretty roles had character flaws, like Legends of the Fall.
37I wish him good luck!
38Ginger, I agree. Brad is not a conventional sexy man (but he makes you dream of him
) and he has never run for sketchy movie roles. I assume he is not an airy person and has a complex and interesting character - otherwise Jen won't love him so much and won't find it hard to
replace him.
39Yeow.. that's going to get things going in here.
But I bet he is a difficult man to get over.
40Oh yea, and I looked up Paul Newman, he's 82! He was great in Empire Falls a couple of years ago. Didn't seem that old. Was well cast as Ed Harris' dad, because they have some resemblance.
41He dressed up nicely to go to "work". He's a good looking guy, but doesn't come off as too intelligent.
42He lectures on environment, but he and Angelina fly (in) private jets! Hypocritical much?
43Please. No. It's just wrong in every way to compare the fabulous and inimitable Paul Newman to Brad Pitt. Or Robert Redford either for that matter.
Besides, Sean Penn is aging better than Brad Pitt. Pictures on Cityrag.
44he needs to go bk to fight club body and take off his shirt like becks more often
45wow he's turning gray! O.O haha.
46he's still one hot tamale though.
damn if only all workmen looked like that!
oh and did someone mention Robert Redford?
47Makes me remember like 10-ish years ago I had an unnaturally deep-loving, all-consuming crush on Mr Redford ... and that's when i was just starting to like boys ... there was something about him that literally made me weak at the knees.
My obsession was a little unhealthy when i look back at it!
God, he looks hot even with gray scruff in his facial hair! This man will always be a hottie! Sort of a Sean Connery type!
48Like RustyAngel73, I don't get the appeal with Brad either.
49He makes sexy look effortless.
