While Lindsay Lohan is living the outdoors life at sleepaway camp in rehab, her legal issues may be sorting themselves out without her. According to TMZ, there is a "strong possibility" that the DA's office won't file felony charges against LL for either of her two DUIs from the past six months. Yes, really.
Similarly, the starlet who had cocaine found in her car at the first arrest and pocket at the second (you know, not that they were her pants), apparently won't be charged for possession in either case. This leaves LL with two misdemeanor charges meaning up to four days in jail (not prison). And the final bit of good news for Linds in all this is that if there are no felony charges pressed, she doesn't need to show up for her Friday court date. Of course. Is it still wrong to call this celebrity special treatment?

1This is definitely special treatment. Lindsay was totally drunk and had cocaine on her, and she doesn't have to go to prison? Paris was intoxicated too, but she wasn't chasing after anyone and she didn't have coke on her, yet she had to go to jail. I think Lindsay deserves to go to prison for what she did.
2No surprises here! The wheelin' & dealin' behind the scenes may just get her a free pass...

17Like padraigin said, I'm no Paris Hilton fan, but what she did was not as bad as Lilo. It seems like Lindsay's using Rehab as more of an escape route, rather than a way of sorting her life out.
She's not the first to use rehab as a tool to escape punishment -- the list is so long it's pathetic. Unless she learns how to take personal responsibility for her actions, she'll always be a mess.
Same goes for Brit... At least LL isn't dragging 2 small kids into her mess.

I think the difference between her and Paris is that she clearly is addicted to drugs and alcohol, whereas Paris was just stupid. I feel really bad for LL, I mean she's at rehab in Utah and can't even get away from the damn paparazzi. The girl is 21 and yes she should be punished and forced to go to lots and lots of therapy. Most of the time, the courts will order treatment for addicts vs. jailtime because just jail won't help. Hopefully they send her somewhere like Betty Ford, where you can't take tanning/gym/club breaks.
31so Paris and Nicole go to jail and LL doesn't??? Seems fishy to me. I think LL should get some jail time. I have experience with addictions(my brother) and the more he got a "break" for going to rehab...the next time it was worse and just kept spiraling out of control. The same thing will happen with LL, give it time.
32If Lindsay gets less of a punishment than Paris did, I'm sure people are going to flip! (As will I!) She shouldn't get any special treatment, especially since she has been in 3 rehabs this year so far, and obviously it's doing nothing for her! I hope Paris beats her ass!

If she doesn't have to take any responsibility, all that will happen is she'll get out of rehab, and a week later we'll hear about her latest DUI & bust for cocaine possession (hopefully nothing worse!) and she'll go back to rehab to show she's "sorry".
38Absolutely ridiculous....not to side with Paris Hilton, as she's revolting as well, but look at all the time she got for just one DUI and driving w/a suspended license....Lindsay has 2 DUIs, cocaine found on her twice, a couple of crashed cars that could have killed someone, and she will get four days?
