Lately we've been seeing a lot of Scarlett Johansson on the set of the latest Woody Allen movie in Barcelona, but the actress has a lot more going on right now than that. The Nanny Diaries hits theaters on Friday (check back then to see Buzz's review), she's got an album coming out in October and another movie to be released next year - and she still finds time to fuel rumors about her relationship with Ryan Reynolds. Scarlett recently sat down with USA Today to talk about men, movies and making it in Hollywood. Here are highlights:
- On dating:
"No," she says, "I'm not seeing Josh Hartnett. He is dreamy, though. No, not Justin Timberlake. I'm a little private about that stuff. I'd love to just scream it out. But (the paparazzi and tabloids) are so intrusive. We can go down a list, and I can say, 'No, no, no.' But I won't say who." - On having children of her own:
"I would love to have kids. I haven't really figured it out yet. I can see having a kid or two. And I would like to adopt children. I think I'm tender with children. - On working with Natalie Portman:
"It was so fantastic to work with her," Johansson says. "She's an amazing actor. We have a lot in common as New Yorkers. We know some of the same people. We have the same lifestyle."
It sounds like Scarlett is wise beyond her years, especially when we think of her in comparison to other starlets her age. We're definitely looking forward to seeing more great things from her and her movies in the upcoming year - and maybe even a little more information about her "not-so-mysterious" boyfriend.

12I really like her. She seems so poised and thoughtful. Very mature for her age. I read some not so favorable reviews about the Nanny Diaries, but I'm still going to go see it because I enjoyed the book.
13I think the movie looks awful. It looks like it's a really cute concept in general, it just looks like Scarlett's reading her lines off a page instead of putting any emotion into them.
Then again, she always comes across that way to me. I do not get her.

I usually like the roles that Scarlett chooses, but I'm not into the Nanny Diaries at all. Too cutesy for me.

22She loves that Woody Allen makes comparisons of her to Marilyn Monroe. I certainly don't see it....the curves and the blonde hair and that's it. Marilyn was a great comedianne and Scarlett is far from that. She's also not as appealing to everyone like MM was---I do think she's a good actress though

23I really like Scarlett. I liked her in Scoop, The Prestige and The Island (wish I could kiss Ewan McGregor, hee). She was adorable in The Horse Whisperer. I don't get why everyone hates her but to each their own, I guess.

PS: ladybugrenee, a few years ago, perhaps even a decade ago, a few women of Hollywood said that they wanted to be referred to as actors and not actresses, because you don't refer to female doctors as doctresses or female teachers as teachresses...they gave a nice long list...and I rolled my eyes, and lived my life, LOL
28I hope the movie is true to the book. I have friends who nannied for wealthy families and they said the book was pretty accurate.
But why does Scarlett need to make an album if she's already a well-respected actress? Waste of time.
29Scarlett's overrated. Not talentless, but overrated. Her acting is a little above mediocre; I think she SUCKED in The Black Dahlia. When I watched The Girl with the Pearl Earring, I was very, very bored. Then again, I was only 14 and I didn't get it too well!
I do like that she speaks her mind and seems to be poised. She does accept that a lot of people view her as sexy. However, in some interviews she seems kind of stuck up. Also, I don't think she's the "ultimate beauty." Sometimes she's sorta pretty, other times she's just eww. I kinda like her better as a brunette, though. I think her big boobs is just about the only thing that she's got going for her.
I'm iffy about her singing career. I have yet to hear her sing, but that guttural voice of hers might be a little troublesome when it comes to singing..
