So Britney has been doing more than just going out at night. Despite the rumors that Brit fled the country she has since been seen in her Mercedes in Malibu. She's also debuting new music and thanks to Ryan Seacrest's morning show we can take a listen now. Unfortunately it's not the fun dance hit you would expect Britney to comeback with. Instead it's a ballad with lyrics about being deserted and needing love. Clearly she's writing her own lyrics. While this is a glimmer of hope that she does want to make her way back on the charts, we'd rather hear an insane duet even if the rumors seem ridiculous.

To listen to the song and read the lyrics just read more
Everyday, I’m in a daze
Looking for that someone
And everyday, I sit and kneel and pray
Oh, sweet love, can I get some?
So why do you desert me, baby boy?
I need your love right now!
And if you desert me, baby boy
Don’t you leave me in your crowd
Talking
Hey baby, what time you gonna get home?
Oh, really?
[Sigh]
Alright, well, I’ll see you later, then
Oh, wait
Would you mind getting some…
Yeah, when you come home
Yeah, that’s it
I love you too
Bye
[Singing again]
Some day when you see my face
You will think that you have won
And some day when it’s all away
Our love just begun
So why did you desert me, baby boy?
I thought that you, you were the one
So if you preferred the other one
She won’t bring you the sun(son)

I just heard a new Britney track from the album she's working on, and I have to say….. I LOVE IT. So far ive heard 3 from the unfinished album and I like 2 out of the 3. The one I just heard and another called "Rebellion". If she works hard at it and stops clubbing, she could have HUGE COMBACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cant wait!!
1oh team posted the song, i like it!
2This is pretty rough for a first single - eek. Not a fan.
3A new hit?? Bahahahahahahahaha!!! That better not be the crap she's releasing, it's like a really bad imitation of the Back to Basics album, and proof positive girl cannot sing. she's warbling her way through and it's just an irritant to the eardrums. Try again.
4It's not horrible but it's not great either. I want the old Brit back!
5Hmm, I don't like it. I think upbeat dance music suits her voice best.
6I ahte how she cuts off each word at the end of a line or phrase so short. She needs to carry it out. But, i like the melody...just not he voice singing it maybe.
7i think it took guts to release this first as oppose to the a dance track with no vocals and a beat that someone else makes a la Heidi Montag. don't get me wrong, those are my favorite britney songs, but i like this too. she does have a sexy voice and i thought it rocked. sorry haters she is coming baaaacccckkkk!!!!!!
8This sounds like a demo... it doesnt sound finished, its either a demo or an interlude
9cry me a river. seriously she's so whiny. this song sucks.
10WTH? lol I hope this isnt her first single. Her vocals are not great. It wasnt as bad as I expected it to be but it wasnt great either.
11theres another song called "rebellion" its better than this one
12ew.
13What I dont get is she could sing when she was younger like in the Mickey Mouse Club and then she got older and if you hear her sing live (which isn't often) she isn't that great. She isn't horrible just not that good and she lip syncs all the time. But I still like most of her music.
14lyrics make no sense....? Strange interlude. yea - okay.
15Sounds like bad karaoke to me. And the talking part-ugh!!
16I don't think it's finish yet.
17HIT...
...I swear this chick could "sing" about having a urinary infection and those fans would
call it a hit!!! Hit my a$$!!!
18I like the jazziness of it and at least she is actually singing as opposed to most of her songs, but this is not a song at all, no chorus, nothing that holds it together-just sort of random and needy, like her behaviour lately.
19I love how her fans are convinced this is a big comeback. It would be funny if that week some higher profile singers decided to release monster singles. I mean seriously can you pit this against Umbrella, Beautiful Girls or Irreplaceable. it would be swallowed alive, even arty like a Rockstar is 10 times better.
20lol tiabia
21someone's crying out for a long lost love... is this dedicated to K-Fed???
not feeling it..hope this shiz doesn't get over played on the radio....
22Nothing she does will make me a fan. It's just too late.
23Tatti,
I'm hoping this shiz doesn't get PLAYED on the radio!!!
24doesn't do it for me....she doesn't have a voice for ballads
25yeah, not very impressed with this song, unfinished or not... its just.....
boring
26The image posted with this article depresses me. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
27LOL
poor thing
28Wow that is BAD. The music in the background sounds like one of her baby's mobiles and her singing is awful. She needs to just stop. If she was smart, she would just keep working out, stop all the partying, and split her time between the recording studio and her kids. She should just drop off the face of the earth for a while and act like a normal person, then come back with an album that's actually good (however, this will never happen because she's insane).
29k, ive never been a britney fan and ive hated all her other stuff- but this is a nice departure from her usual crap. Not bad.
30I agree with the truthfulness of the first line of the song, "Everyday, I'm in a daze." Yep, it sure does seem like she is.
31I honestly like it and at least she wrote it herself. I'm not a huge fan of brit so don't put me up for the firing squad but I do like the song
32not sure what to think of the song...i like the idea of it, but it doesn't hook me and pull me in! Hope her other stuff is better...for her sake!
33its gonna take a second for me to get used to it, but i like it.
great to hear her voice again
34Not impressed. She could do so much better. Maybe if she got her head out of her ass, stopped going out every single night doing this that or the other with whoever. She would be able to write a decent song. This is crap. Plain and simple. I don't know why her record label would let her embarrass herslef and the label with that garbage. See this is why most producers have someone else write the songs. She probably got drunk wrote this song and thoguht hey thats cool. Then laid the track down. I have this mental image in my head of the A/R guy sitting in the studio plugging his ears, begging her to stop singing. She probably held him hostage in there with her umbrella, he saw what she did to that car and was like hell no. Thats the only reason I can think of why anyone would let her put this on an album.

36It's probably a demo and once they add the background singers it will sound better. I'm not a Britney fan but the song sounds just as good as anything else that's out now on the radio by Kelly Clarkson, Rhianna, Fergie. Everyone thinks they are a singer these days, but the music industry has gone so far downhill.
37Bad bad bad. That isn't even good. I hate that "conversation" she has in the middle. I was never a britney fan but that crap isn't going to win me over.
38That was terrible! Why, the call????
39Ugh... so bad... and 1/3 of the song is talking? What was that about? Awful lyrics overall.
40Britney was never a good singer, she was a good "preformer"
41Eek! NOT GOOD!! Not good AT ALL!
42This picture makes me sad - these were my favorite Brit days!!!
43Why do people talk in songs? It RUINS it just like Alicia Key's song You Dont Know My Name, she has a convo on the phone and it takes aways from the song so much. I love that Alicia song but the convo in it is so annoying and it isn't any different with this Brit song.
44Great to hear her voice
...what voice? I would rather listen to the CrazyFrog sing the 'Ave
Maria' than this!!! I am so over REAL singers being squeezed out by these boardroom constructed stars...BOOOOOO!!!!
45*crosses arms ala simon cowell* That was absolutely horrible.
46from what I heard of it ( as my connection is very slow right now) I LOVED it
I always preferred the heart felt soulful sounds than when she did the dance ones.
But that is me I find dance beat songs irritating.
I love depth to my songs. If her new album is filled with a lot of songs like this I will def buy it
47Wow, really just....she could do better.

txlatina
49It's okay but its one of those tracks that's just there. Not something that should never be released as single.
