January Jones let down her hair during an incredibly sultry shoot for November's cover of GQ. In the interview she loses her Betty Draper veneer from Mad Men and opens up about her career so far and even an old boyfriend, speculated to be ex Ashton Kutcher, who was less than supportive of her acting career. She conducted the interview over a few drinks and talked about getting in trouble for chewing tobacco and playing quarters on a plane, her high school drinking records, beer pong abilities, and how she navigated Hollywood. January is refreshingly real and a little brazen, but perhaps the biggest testament to her acting is how she's very much not just her onscreen counterpart. Here are highlights:

- On her ex boyfriend: "The guy I was dating when I first got to LA was not supportive of my acting. He was like, I don't think you're going to be good at this. So — f*ck you! He only has nice things to say now — if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated."
- On the roles she's being offered: "I'd never really played a mom or a wife before and all of a sudden I'm getting all these lonely mom and wife offers. I don't want to get stuck."
- On growing up: "I hung out with dudes in high school. We were the hippies—into the Dead, Zeppelin, Phish. I was a lifeguard at the water park, and I remember the day Jerry died. Over the loudspeaker, it said: 'Jerry Garcia has died. Everybody meet in the parking lot.' I probably shouldn’t say that—we were saving lives! But that was definitely a sit-in-the-chair-with-sunglasses afternoon."
To see what January says about her transition from modeling to acting and how she feels about Betty just read more.
- On transitioning from modeling to acting: "You're like an object. They move you around. And I felt like, God, I'm miserable. I hate modeling. When I moved back to New York, the agency said I owed them $20,000. So I left the agency and then—very quickly—decided to go to LA and try acting. Without any training."
- On Betty: "I don't have a lot in common with Betty, but I'm very protective of her. I just feel like she's trying really hard to make her life good, and make her marriage work, and it just seems hypocritical that when she slips up, people get mad. Because Don does it all the f*cking time."

I don't know much about her but I liked the interview.
1she is Ashton's ex??
2wow, she got some nice boobs.. I start to like her when I get into Mad Men.. awesome show!
3i don't know why i remember this BUT didn't she used to go with Josh Groban?
4Why do women insist on showing clevage in magazine photos? It looks so tacky and cheap. And then women wonder why we often get treated like second class citizens, when they want to place a bunch of emphasis on their breasts. Jennifer Anniston does a lot of clevage baring mag pics too, and you notice that she has not made a movie showing any intelligence or substance since The Good Girl.
5Yes, she dated Ashton Kutcher.
6Anonymous #5 - you really think it is the actresses idea to show cleavage? It is the magazine and the person styling the shoot. Obviously they have some say but it probably isn't their idea. Women's magazines do it too....just look at any recent photo shoots with Taylor Launter.
Anyways January looks absolutely gorgeous.....pretty funny about the Ashton thing.
7#5, I don't think January Jones comes in and says "I want to show my tits", usually it's the editor or creative director's call. This is a men's magazine, and if you want to get into the whole culture of female objectification/institutional sexism, be my guest. But it isn't necessarily the woman's idea to show breasts, rather they play the role they are expected to play. Don't hate the player, hate the game
8Sweet revenge that she's got more critical recognition and award noms than Ashton will ever see.
9To Leslie and JCP
Actually, I am SURE she has a SAY on how she would like to portray herself to the public. You are not playing a role on a magazine cover. You are interviewing as yourself.. not a character.
I dont think they are expected to show their breasts and if they are then they have the brains to choose to do so or not to do so.
BTW I think she looks amazing and I like the boob photo!
10She looks HOT!
She seems like she has her head on straight!
11Get it girl! Love her.
12she looks hot. i loved the interview.
13She looks like a hooker and sounds like her role on Man Men has gone to her head. January.... you will never be an Angelina Jolie so calm down.
14Yes, she dated Josh groban for like 4 years . . although i doubt he was the one who made the comments
15So tired of the "artistic" use of a cigarette. She looks like a hooker lighting up. yuck
16It's good she didn't listen to the man who made the masterpiece Dude Where's my Car and went and made a name for herself in acting.
17She dated Ashton before she dated Josh.
18she looks like a hooker, I agree! And a pretty cheap one at that.
Maybe Ashton was right, if she's desperate enough to take pictures looking like this, maybe she has no confidence in her talents either...
19She and Ashton were dating around the time "That 70s Show" debuted. (This was almost a decade ago.) He just started his acting career after transitioning from modeling himself and he's decided that he's suddenly the self-appointed gatekeeper of who will and won't make it in Hollywood? Puh-leez!
20i think she's great in mad men. i kind of think don and betty would make a nice real life couple, every body else is doing it!
21i love her! she's gorgeous and seems like she has a good sense of humor. i'd def like to have a drink with her.
yes, the pictures are a bit much, but it's a men's magazine, so i understand
22i think she looks great....she said it herself..she doesn't want to get stuck as betty draper. HELLO BOOBS and the F WORD! plus, its a men's mag..it's going to be risque.
23i'd love to have a dating life like hers... lol
