Kristen Stewart is on many magazine covers in the runup to New Moon's release next month, from Interview to Allure and now Seventeen. She managed to take a break from working on Eclipse and hanging out with Robert Pattinson to sit down and chat about the whole Twilight phenomenon and what she's learned from her character, Bella. Here's more:
- On Twilight's popularity: "I'm used to doing really tiny movies. But then it turned into a big deal. I mean, I know how obsessed the fans are — they love it, but we love it just as much!"
- On learning from Bella: "You don't need to give reasons for the things you do — you just have to do what you want. And sometimes the thing that seems messed up to everyone else is what's right for you. You have to do it and not be ashamed of it."

12Haha, she was probably made to or indirectly influenced to do the cover-a ton of her fans are tweens/teens. But I admit, she's really pretty when she has makeup on, though how much do you wanna bet she would have preferred a plaid shirt? Her smile looks forced.

16A girl she's 19 years not 12 I agree she's still young and shouldn't be taken so seriously since we all made mistake at that age. But enough with the little poor me act she has been an actress for many years now. Her parents work in the industry and she signed up for twilight having sold millions of copies worldwide at that point. She knew what she was getting into unless she fail to do her research on the popularity of the series and by all accounts she is a smart girl so I doubt it. I get that having paparazzi is hard because they are indeed annoying but why not sign an autograph for a fan instead of making it into a big deal and then having that fan go into the elevator with you. Signing an autograph before going into the elevator would have been easier its not like there were hundreads of fans it was one girl.

24The ignorance on here is rampant. And it is fine by me. I never said she was any kind of role model...good or bad. She's a horrible actor that is for damn certain. I said she shouldn't be on a Seventeen magazine which is for teenagers. She's not a teen and she damn sure isn't a good example to guide them to make any good decisions.

29to the mom here, I'm a teenager (im being serious) and you're crazy! You cannot honestly pretend your daughter is perfect and has never gone to a party and drank or smoked pot at least once it her life. It may a "downfall of america" but it's reality, it's whats happening. You can't pretend it doesn't exist! Kristen is a teenager she is 19 and she has every right to be on the cover of 17. You can have your opinion of what you see fit for your daughter but, that doesn't mean that you're right and everyone else is ignorant. My parents arent absent, unreliable parents. they're great supportive middle class american parents. I recieve 17, they found no problem with k-stew being on the cover. My mom saw twilight with me! So not every teenager is as "pefect" as your daughter and your views on who should be on the cover of a magaizne are not shared by everyone. Kristen has proven herself to be a great actress (despite your opinion)she starred in "speak" which brought her much critcal praise and her the runaways looks like it could get her a few awards. You said her personal life was another thing against her, how so? She had a boyfriend for 3 years, and now she has a new boyfriend. I don't understand how that unacceptable in your eyes. Also, smoking pot once, doesn't make you an addict. I disagree with you on everything you said and I (In my opinion that i'm entitled to) do not think you represent the typical mother of a teenager. I think you are overprotective (which you have every right to be) but seemingly overbearing. fyi- 17 has had Paris Hilton, Lauren Conrad on their covers so I don't think Kristen should be looked at as their worst choice by any means.
