wind it up is a terrible "song"
1if you can call chanting with some sort of weird sounds in the background with no chorus, a song
aw, i can't see the video, i'm at work! i loved her last album, i hope this one is just as good!
2Wind It Up ROCKS!
Go Gwen.
3I loved Wind it up!!!!
4Gwen's music does nothing for me. :runs away and hides:
5I have the studio version on my blog if anyone wants to hear it.
6Blonde, I'm not a fan of her music, either. I like Gwen as a person, though.
7I think this song will have to grow on me...but I'd like to hear the studio version before making an opinion on it. I love her hair and make up in the song!
8Totally. She seems like a cool, good person. But if I hear Hollaback Girl one more time, I am going to stab myself in the eye with a fork
9Pisces it does grow on you and quickly!

Fab Find for the holidays Every tuesday! This week lets pick out gifts for our Significant others! And send in your ideas or join up for secret santa! Just check out my new "Once apon a fab finding christmas!"
I feel like they were trying to use the most random sample in the world. (The Lonely Goatherd from The Sound of Music). She already ripped off Fiddler on the Roof. Who knew Gwen was such a fan of Broadway musicals!
I really don't care for this song, especially her vocals on it. I really hope the rest of the album is better.
11Gwen loves the Sound of Music. It's one of her favorites. Not so random.
12Okay, I've heard the studio version...I like the beat, but not her vocaling in it. She's not a "singer" anymore...she's a "sounder". If that makes sense. I still love her though, she's so awesome with her style and vibe. I just don't think I care for this new song.
I miss No Doubt!

I saw a Gilmore Girls eppie, and Sebastian Bach (think it's his name) did a version that I liked better than Gwen's. I hated that song until I heard him sing it.
14She's beautiful!

Oh really? I'll have to dl that!
16I like Gwen's music but not this one. Sorry. It just didn't sound good. Maybe it will have to grow on me.
17hhmm...this will have to grow on me as well, I LOVED her in No Doubt. My dad bought me their 1st album for x-mas when I was 14 & he was soo proud of himself!
18I can't tell if I like the album cover or not...
Amazing how no one is commenting on the airbrushing on the cover. Not a fan of her music, but she's OK as a person.
19I think the airbrushing is a statement. She's made to look like an actual doll, no...?
Besides, this is just promotional cover art. She's supposed to be shooting the actual cover art soon.
20I'm gonna go ahead and put myself out there.
21I hated Fergie's music when I saw it first on Pop. Now, I jam to it- BOTH London Bridge and Fergielicious. I think this is going to be the same-- not really feeling it, sitting in my office, 'working,' but hearing it in a different atmosphere and liking it.
I do bet she is a great performer to watching live.
22Ditto what Jen said....I think the point is to make this look like she could be on the cover of Cosmo circa 1981.
23Always loved this chick* She is so energetic~
24I'm off to see the studio version of yours*
Go back to No Doubt.
25Not fond of the song, but GO GWEN she looks fab!
26The airbrushing is done because she has really bad skin. I have seen her up close. Really bad.
27I'm a Gwen and No Doubt fan (especially No Doubt). When I first heard this track I thought my ears would bleed it was sooo awful but now it's not as bad, almost catchy ~ which would imply that it does grow on you somewhat.
I also have the studio version playing on my msn space
28LOVE HER!
29Jennifer -- The fact that she is a fan of the Sound of Music isn't unusual. Putting it in a hip-hop/pop song is pretty strange.
I think that producers are looking for samples that call attention to themselves (like Rihanna sampling Tainted Love). The public listens to the song and goes, "Ohmigod! I LOVE The Sound of Music/Tainted Love! It reminds me of being a kid! I'll love this song then!". I think when producers do that, the original parts of the song are usually pretty weak.
30It kills me. When Cameron Diaz is airbrushed for a photoshoot, it's a crime. When Britney Spears is airbrushed, how DARE she? But we like Gwen, so the airbrushing is a statement. Come on now, airbrushing is a girl's best friend. If I could be airbrushed in real life, I would opt for it in a second. Someone following me around zapping all my blemishes away. How much would that rock? I actually have no issue with airbrushing.
31Hell, I airbrushed MYSELF in my avy!
32Man. I am mad at Gwen cause I think she broke up No Doubt. I think Wind It Up is horrible.
33I think I'm the only one who said the airbrushing in this photo is a statement, and I complimented the airbrushing in Cameron's shoot yesterday and said I wanted to learn how to do it on myself. I've never complained about Brit's photoshopping. I like it when they make her look good.
If it looks to you like this is supposed to be a regular picture with skin flaws airbrushed out, then ok. That's an opinion.
To me it looks like they took it to the extreme with the end result that she looks more like a plastic doll than a person. IMO that's intentional.
Agree to disagree?
34I like her, but that song hovered on the line between comical and absurd.
35I'll teach you to airbrush, Jennifer. It's easy.
36Not sure how I feel about this song, kinda seems to zany for me. The beat is a little odd, don't hate me, but I liked Ghetto Fabulous Gwen, luxurious and hollaback girl were two of my favorite Gwen songs...
37LMAO at this song! It's such a Gwen Stefani song! I'm still trying to decide if I like it...
