Violet Affleck got to be Daddy's little girl running some errands with Ben Sunday morning in LA. It looks like she even tried out a new side ponytail look, which is super cute but still no match for Level 4 pigtails. Ben's hat may say Retired, but somehow we don't think he means it in the literal sense especially with his directorial debut Gone Baby Gone hitting theaters this fall.

9This is so cute. Jen told the Boston Globe that she had to go to Japan and Ben was "so ready" to take over while she was away. As for doing hair - I'm surprised it turned out that well. I'm fairly he has had zero experience in the little girl hair fixing area. The retired hat may refer to his card playing career. After he won the Cali State Championship, he quit playing except with friends or in charity events.

When I had my second, I made my husband take my daughter to the beauty shop to get her hair done before she showed up at the hospital. I didnt want that "daddy hair do" in the baby's photo album! LOL.

24Dads and their daughters' hair can be a scary combination. I already know that I will be out of town for my kids' school picture day and I have put my eight year old daughter in charge of my five year old daughter's hair just so that she doesn't wind up with "Daddy Hair" in her pictures!! Ha.

30Her hair looks like total kid-hair. You get it all fixed up and they yank most of it out while sitting idle in the car seat...happens all the time. The babies that have those perfectly coiffed hairdos and clothes are the ones that freak me out, so a bit of mess is actually endearing on a kid....to me at least. Parents who dress up their kid "Jon-Benet" style need to be flogged at dawn.
31You know what I love about this family? The fact that they have managed to raise a normal looking kid. She's not decked out in Burberry (hello: Suri Cruise) and she doesn't always have the perfect coif of hair but that's the way it should be! They seem to strive to make Violet's life as normal as possible and I respect that immensly.
32I think Violet is adorable! I wish they would get more pictures of her smiling. She always seems to have her brows furrowed at the paparazzi.

The author of the book Gone Baby Gone said that it is brilliant, and a lot of people have started to compare it to "The Departed", last year's best picture oscar winner. I wish Ben all the best, and can't wait to see the movie!
