Serge Gainsbourg is a French singer/songwriter whose early work in the 60's was a jazzy-pop mix. He was married to Jane Birkin, a British actress/singer in the swinging 60's (for whom the Hermes Birkin bag is named). And singer/actress Charlotte Gainsbourg (from "The Science of Sleep") is their daughter.
