Keira Knightley combined the latest trends with Ray Ban classics as she arrived in Venice yesterday. She wore a beautiful dress for the photocall of her period peice Atonement which opened up the Venice Film Festival. The buzz has already started about her performance but that being said, Keira does all that she can to avoid reading what the media has to say about her, for better or for worse. She said,
"Once you become famous you get completely dehumanized. I think people forget there is a person in there trying to deal with it. Partly the way you deal with it is by not reading, not looking and seeing any of it and burying your head in the sand. It is the only path to sanity."
We know Keira has dealt with some pretty bad backlash from the media about her weight, so we don't blame her for wanting to stay away from it. We just hope it doesn't make her quit acting altogether, because we'd miss her on the big screen.

37I agree she's on the smaller side of things, but she's always been a skinny girl. Her bone structure is smaller than most so she's never going to be a "bigger" girl. My cousin is about the same size a Keira, judging from the photos, and she's always been that way. While I was struggling with my weight in high school, she could eat WHATEVER she wanted and it wouldn't go anywhere.
She could probably stand to gain 5 pounds, but I don't think she's deathly skinny.

43Denial ain't just a river in Egypt! I firmly believe she is suffering from an eating disorder I don't care what excuses she makes for her weight. I've seen too many friends deny it for years and end up a hospital. She wasn't a rail like this when she first started making films.

46Keira has looked a bit heavier, but it could just be that earlier in her career she had more of her baby fat. Also, she's said that she ate protein bars and protein shakes in order to "bulk up" for King Arthur.
I am naturally thin and I've been teased about it since I was a child, and it's still a struggle to ignore the teasing I get. I don't understand why people can't be more accepting of thin people, rather than always accusing them of not eating.
She *really* should stop doing that waist-slimming pose, though.

49that dress is fabulous. Her hair and makeup are terrible. She looks like she rolled out of bed after a 3 day binge and put on some red lipstick. And as far as her wieght goes. I think its a loose loose situation when you are celeb. If you are smaller than a size 4 people say you are anorexic, if you are bigger than a size for then Jenny Craig starts scouting you for thier next series of commercials. Shes not too skinny, yes shes thin, but you probably would be too if you had that kind of pressure on your shoulders.
