Asobi Seksu (the name is reportedly a Japanese slang term that means "playful sex"), is a quartet is based out of New York City. In addition to their heavy Japanese pop influences (lead singer Yuki Chikudate is of Japanese descent), Asobi Seksu bears a resemblance both to the British shoegazer bands of the early '90s and New York guitar noise artists.
