Oh wow, this must be based on the book!!! "Ballet Shoes" by Noel Streatfield is one of the most wonderful children's books ever. I absolutely loved it when I was a kid--there's actually a whole series--and it's about a million times better than Harry Potter.

They aren't very well known for some reason, but anyone who's read them loves them!

It'll be so great to see her in a new role- I think she's super cool as a young feminist I hope she has tons of luck with future roles.

OMG! Ballet Shoes was my favorite book when I was young! I even bought an out-of-print copy when I found out I was having my daughter. That's fabulous that it's being made into a movie. I hope it's released in the US...

I read "Ballet Shoes" bout a million times when I was little. According to IMDB, she's playing Pauline, the oldest, which makes sense. Very exciting!

oh man i LOVED these books when i was a kid. i owned three of them (my parents probably still have them in their basement somewhere), and the library had at least two other ones. i don't know how many are in the series, but i hope they make several movies!

She's cute, and seems like a sweetheart. I am interested to see how she develops as an actress. Right now, I don't think she is that great, but she seems like a smart girl and smart actresses tend to turn out okay.

I just watched again the other day - it has some beautiful dancing scenes, as long as you fast forward through the story itself.
