My daughter is addicted to this show. I've never watched it.

You know, why didn't they just replace her, and not kill off her character? Have another actress play Marissa? They used to do that on daytime soaps all the time, and the OC is a basically a soap...it's just on at night. Audiences will get used to a new actor playing a role if the actor is a good replacement.

I feel like people wouldn't be so receptive to that idea for some reason.

i'm disagreeing. i thought it was great! very reminiscent of season one.

I thought it was horrible! They had so much material they totally skipped the funeral and the aftermath of Marissa's death. Ryan never went to the funeral supposively she was the love of his life! Summer is not living in the OC anymore and she broke up with Seth, and she doesn't fit in that hippie mode they put her in! I was disappointed I feel like they didn't even try to make it good. I missed Grey's for that!

i really wasn't expecting it to start back up right after marissa's death; especially since it's november. i'm not sure, but hasn't it traditionally skipped the summer to catch back up to "real time"? otherwise, we wouldn't get christmukka til may!

i liked that they skipped all the redundancy that accompanies a character dying on tv. they went straight to the "meat"...everyone has dealt/are dealing with the death in their own ways and are starting to come back into the real world...hence ryan preparing to go after volchek. that's just mho, though.

I thought last night's episode was reall, really good. Dark and well-acted. Mischa will not be missed.

are you freaking kidding me? yesterday's episode was utterly amazing. i have so much love restored after it. bring it on, OC. mischa/marissa was nothing but effing talentless dead weight.

i havent watched it yet! it wont prolly wont air here yet for a couple of months

i thought it was a pretty good season opener as well ... it had me in tears towards the end!! hehe (i know what a baby) im looking forward to a season without marissa!!!!!!

GAH! what an annoying video! haha! but about the season premiere... i don't think it was entirely THAT bad! i'm hoping this season might be better than the past one... and i think marissa won't be missed, but i don't like her sister either... i think willa holland isnt' that much of a talented actress either, the way she talks really bothers me!

Anyway, we only get the premier tuesday.
Marissa will be sorely missed by me, a hardcore oc fan.

Mischa´s the best! taking her character out of the show is the most stuppidity thing I have ever seen, what the hell this producers were thinking?? but well...THEY WANTED THIS, THEY´LL HAVE IT! the oc rating is really bad, and it will keep going down!

it wasn't mischa that was the problem - i read that the writers had done so much with marissa that it was probably one of the best moves on the season finale. plus this will probably be the last season so they might as well re-work it a bit.

i thought the premiere was crazy/unique though yeah, did seth and summer break up?? bummer!
