Two of our favorite Beckhams came out to play yesterday, and we can't decide which one is yummier. Thankfully, we don't have to choose. Unfortunately, Becks wasn't feeling as good as he looked on the field last night. Apparently that ankle injury has been acting up again and he had to leave the game, plus he'll have to miss five of the next six games with the Galaxy. When asked about his injury, David said,
"I'm devastated to have been taken out of the game when I was because I was looking forward to this game. I've been given the rest to try and get my ankle feeling better and it felt better."
Poor Becks. This probably wasn't how he envisioned spending his first year in LA, but hopefully he'll get the rest he needs so Soccer Beckham can make a triumphant return soon.

What does that have to do with soccer? nothing. I have been watching becks since his red card in the world cup in 98

43I like Becks, but even his fans need to get a grip: His best days are behind him. He's worth the salary not just to be cute and sit on a bench, but TO PLAY. People are justified in b*tching if they pay for the ticket and he just sits there. Don't hate the game, hate the playa. Harsh, but he's making more money than many countries do. So far, he ain't worth it. And please don't say that he's worth it b/c people are coming to games. They won't keep coming if homie don't play.

I watch soccer (MLS) sometimes, and though Beckham has certainly enticed more people to watch, I don't like the fact that he's making so much money to play in the MLS, considering the other players in the MLS make very little (especially those that are rookies or not particularly famous).
