Season six of The Hills is well under way, but many of you don't seem to be tuning in to watch. Ratings for the show are apparently way down from years past, which might be due to a general lack of interest in Kristin Cavallari's storyline. With Lauren Conrad's departure and Audrina Patridge gearing up to star in her own series, it seems fair to wonder how much longer the show can go on. So, tell us what you think — is this the beginning of the end for The Hills?

i voted yes, however, i never watched the hills. i voted yes bc hopefully i dont ever have to hear about this horrible tv show ever again
1I was wondering how the ratings were doing, but not surprised at all. I have stopped watching because I'm not interested now that Lauren isn't on the show and Kristen is just such a ridiculous person.
2I think so. Kristin already admitted the show is fake and they all do what the producers tell them to in order to create drama for ratings. The jig is up at this point. None of the storylines are believable and the conversations/relationships seem overly forced and fake. I guess this will be the last season, esp with Audrina leaving.
3I don't understand why Lauren left so much interest. She was dull and hypersensitive. I think it's mainly burnout. It had been going down since season three, the change of characters was the last straw.
Also, we've gotten bored with the "bad" guys. Since season three, commentary was more on hating Heidi and Spencer than liking Lauren. It's just gotten *too* stale for folks.
4I didn't like laguna beach after Kristin took over and so as soon as lauren left, I didn't get give the hills a second thought...I do not want to watch ANYTHING Kristin is in
5The show is just so fake now. Before they started out friends and it was at least believable that their show characters could do whatever. But now the most random people are friends and it's just this awkward fake non acting acting thing and it's actually uncomfortable to watch. The City too.
6Stacie the bartender is now bffs with Kristen. Fake. Stacie went to Spencer & Heidi's wedding. Fake. All boring and fake. Watching Kristen the fugster whine and pretend to be aloof is not that interesting. Lo is boring. I only liked Lauren and now she is gone. Whitney is boring and the City is also fake and sucks. Spencer & Heidi are boring. If anyone saves the show it has to be Audrina. I doubt she can.
7i said yes although i have literally NEVER watched the show!!! it just never caught my interest and everyone seemed so stuck up and snobby, not my style, so hopefully the show will be done with!
8When are producers going to learn that Kristin Cavallari is the reasons shows die? I don't watch the shows, but I keep up with entertainment/insider news and Kristin's killed a few shows. Laguna Beach died after she took over, her own show (TBS?) didn't last more than 2 episodes, The Hills has horrible ratings this season...I'm sure there's something else I can't remember. People just aren't interested in her.
9The fakeness is just too much and doesn't add up at all.
Kristin and Stacey "the bartender" are friends? Since when?
Lo and Kristin, her BFF's enemy, hanging out and meeting up for luch is just really too much.
Kristin and Justin Bobby is obviously fake to create a drama triangle with Audrina.
Heidi, Spencer and the rest are still as loathesome as ever but, even worse, they're boring.
How can I muster up interest in these people or convince myself to care about them? It's all incredibly patched up and completely vapid. No redeeming qualities anywhere.
The City, though, I am enjoying. Love that they are working and that it's interesting and that there are some girls who seem to have a moral compass and basic personality traits.
10I think everyone loved it at first with LC and then several seasons into filming the Hills we all found out that they reshoot scenes and they create a lot of the drama and it was staged and fake. I think LC left after all that and a lot of viewers left with her.
11I think The Hills should of ended a long time ago.
12haha the question is 'is this the beginning or the end' and the options are yes and no. fail.
13I loved the hills but I haven't watched one show this season because I cant stand any of these people anymore. I only cared about Whit and LC and both are goners now. Kristin is a bad actress, loud and retarded. She belongs on the rock of love but not the hills. I do miss the old days when LC and Whit were working for Teen Vogue, so many cute scenes.
14Yes, I haven't watched it since LC left. I never liked kristen cavilarri. LC actually has ambition to be something other than a reality star and she was smart enough to use this fame to open up doors for her fashion career. Kristen is just an attention wh*re and she has a really annoying voice. LC was the glue of the whole show, and now it's falling apart without her. I was never shocked that it was mostly fiction; I think most people knew that from Laguna Beach days.
P.S. I won't be watching Audrina's show either.
15Lauren was my favorite on THE HILLS and I watched every week. Now the the show does hold my interest as it once did...I am much more interested in THE CITY with Olivia..That show is kind of boring too but I love Whitney and Olivia's fashions..some what??
16If Kristin would chill and not try to start fights with everyone constantly claiming to be the girl you shouldnt f*ck with maybe it would be more interesting...
17Yes!!! Finally!!! I can't believe it lasted this long.
18Can you imagine?
19I mean it's bad enough she could not have a decent career -and why should she?!- in the movies...
Now she is even bad
for
a
fake
reality show!
This is the ultimate low.
ewwwww the Hills is boring.
The City is much much better.
20Agree with Annon #4 . Less to do with Lauren & Kristin and more just general show burnout.
I'd totally watch another show with Kristin solo, but Audrina, etc. are boring. And seriously, Justin Bobby again? Sick.
21The Hills is no longer interesting w/o Lauren. I like the City much better and actually find Olivia more interesting then Whitney.
22Aw, poor Kristin. I actually adore Kristin. I love her attitude about everything and I think she's by far the prettiest girl on the show. That being said I do think the show is too fake, and I hate how they forced Kristin into this social circle and now she dates Justin Bobby? It's kind of insulting to think the viewers are going to buy it or care. They should have just made the show about Kristin and her real friends and fired everyone else. Oh well I will still watch!
23NAHHHHH As long as Audrina is a part og The Hilss.... it lives.
24I don't like the story lines... I enjoyed the fashion feel from before... And you can't watch them online like before... some of the episodes are only available for a day and then you have to wait like two or three weeks to catch up... not worth it.
25maybe
26I never watched it until now and if it was this bad the whole time, I honestly have no idea why it's on at all. Kristin is a c*nt.
27No. Kristin is making it more interesting.
28good bye and good riddance
29I refuse to watch the Hills now. I will wait for Audrina's show. She may not be the brightest bulb but she seemed much more genuine. And her job and family seem interesting..
Kristen Cavallari/Brody & Jayde/Heidi and Spencer's 15 minutes can not be over soon enough.
30MTV should cancel the hills and focus on The City and Audrina's show.
31Loved Lauren and Lo since Laguna Beach. Don't watch The Hills now without Lauren. Audrina will not be able to carry a show, she is just the friend on a show you should see once in awhile like she was when The Hills started.
32LC SUCKED! THE SHOW IS MUCH BETTER NOW BUT IF RATINGS ARE DOWN IT IS PROB B/C PEOPLE DONT WANT TO SEE HEIDI AND SPENCER!!!!! MTV : PLEASE READ THIS!
33End, for the love. Why is anyone tuning into to see fake drama between SoCal brats who are not even friends in the first place. All your doing is feeding their egos and wallets. The young women coming up are feeding off this like it is reality and this disturbs me because the hills shows women tearing down other women and creates green eyed monsters. Upcoming generation of women, This is NOT how a classy lady of values acts and cars and men should be were you pull your confidence from. Please disregard these, lying, gossiping, plastic face/boobs, fake tan, fake blonde, eating disorderly bad excuses for a women!!! au revoir Hills
34Honestly, I have been over it for a while now. As soon as things were obviously FAKE, I was done. Everything is fake, period. For that I'll watch a real show with real actors.
35wake up people!!!!! even regular reality shows are somewhat FAKE!!!!! you people are so naive...
36the hills without lauren is wack.
37i think most of LC's appeal (at least for me) was that we were about the same age (she's 1 year behind me) and was going thru the same kind of things i was. granted i wasn't rich, on tv, or worked for vogue, but you know what i'm saying...she was the most normal girl on that show and these people actually started out as her real life friends! say what you will, but she is one smart cookie getting out while she can and using its success to her advantage.
its just WAY to random, catty, and fake now that the main character is gone. its painful to watch!!!
38OK.... was lauren the most interesting girl and the life of the party...No, but she was a ordinary girl trying to make it, dealing with the drama of her friends, and trying to find herself as she makes it through her 20's: and on that people can relate. Lauren was more geunine than Kristen, ( and had more class too). All that drama that Kristen brings is just played, you can see that on any reality show now. The Hills was interesting because Lauren was actually doing something with her life, and struggling at the same time to be successful* just like many young people out here. I don't know what Kristen does.... but honestly I don't want to see her create the drama that she did on Laguna beach, that was high school and that stuff is tired and played. Honestly The City is ok, but it is still not that great, it bores me at times. I don't know what it is that made people like Lauren, maybe it was her geuine spirt and her ability to tell her friends like it is, even when they did not want to hear it. If people of all races around the world watch your show, you must have some quality about you, does Kristen C have that.... not so much?
39Yes, 'The Hills' is over. I don't want to completely blame it on Kristin, but she doesn't help the situation. She's a twenty something who continues to act as she did in high school & its sad. Does she have a job? Do any of them really have jobs (I read that Lo is an elementary school teacher in LA & I wondered what school district would hire someone who stars on an MTV reality show to teach kids)?? I personally have always known that the majority of the situations/dialogue on the show was fake; but Lauren herself, I didn't see in that way. You could tell that she was genuine & even though the producers were making her hold a conversation at a certain point in time AT LEAST what she was saying reflected her true feelings. Kristin on the other hand has admitted that her "feelings" are created to drive a plot; she said if you're gonna do it, make it interesting. NO HONEY -- if you're gonna do it BE REAL!
40On top of all that, I think we're all just over the So.Cal Craze. The whole Laguna Beach/ Hills franchise started nearly 6 years ago in 2004 (I was a freshman in high school & now I'm a sophomore in college), you know back when the O.C. was the shiz...the producers should take a hint: that show's been off for how many years now?? Right, follow suit please.
Bottom line: the show is just so ridiculous right now. Watching these people, I actually feel my intelligence drop. At least Lauren could speak in complete sentences.
