David Beckham looked slightly (and sadly) broken with his ankle and knee braces out shopping for shades with Brooklyn yesterday. He's going to have a lot of downtime these days because Wednesday's on field knee injury will keep him out for 6 weeks. Best case recovery will put him back on the field mid-October when there are only three Galaxy games left in the regular season. Plus, he was planning on flying back to England this weekend to practice with the national team for the upcoming Euro 2008 qualifying games. I can't imagine he's pleased about any of this, especially considering how brutal (and blaming) the fans can be. On the slightly brighter side, he's one of the few men who can rock a semi-grown in beard and still look smoking hot, right?

That sucks. He hasn't really been able to play much because he keeps getting injured.
1LOL. What a scam him and Posh pulled to get over here and be celebs in the States. David knows damn well that his time in the soccer spotlight has come and gone, hes too old (in hardcore athletic age) to every recover 100% from these injuries which is why he keeps getting hurt. One word for Becks, RETIRE.

9greggie you kill me. And Becks pulled a fast one on LA Galaxy if they aren't careful this will go down as one of the more not so clever buys in the history of soccer, like Nicolas Anelka to almost every club he's gon to and Andriy Shevchenko to chelsea. More trouble than they are worth.

12Hell yes he is goregeous!! I agree though that he is getting a bit old for pro-sports. Most of the players are in their early 20's....at his age it does take longer to recover from injuries. I just wonder why he is out walking around with his son if he is soooo hurt.
13Because walking is good for injuries in a lot of cases, and facilitates healing. Running, kicking, slamming into people, not so much.
