The anticipation for This Is It has all been building up to today! It's finally out in theaters after a star-studded premiere in LA last night. Since Michael Jackson's untimely death this Summer you've been pretty split over all the tributes and attempts to honor the King of Pop, but a lot of you have still been excited for new music.
The movie is getting rave reviews as a moving tribute to an icon and the music promises to deliver, so we want to know — are you seeing it on opening day?

I already did, got out of the theatre 2 hours ago, it was amazing, even just sitting in the room with all these people clapping at the end of each song with me, and everyone staying until the very end of the end credits clapping and singing, I'd never seen anything like this.
1The film is very well put together, Mr Ortega sure did a great job, everyone can appreciate the perfectionism, professionalism, humour and big heart of Michael, it really shows him as who he is and just that (and no you won't get me to say "was"), there's nothing over the top in the style of "oh let's make them cry with that comment or background music" kind of thing, some parts are quite catchy (if it hadn't been for the guy sat behind me I'd have been dancing on my seat!) some are funny, serious, and well of course for all the fans out there, emotional (I cried my eyes out during the whole end credits)
I felt like I was living a part of History being sat in this room with all these people, I seriously anyone out there (fan or not!) to go see it, if you didn't like Michael before he passed away, then give him a chance now, you won't regret it, I swear!
PS: bring some tissues with you if like me you get teary eyes to the sound of "I'll be there" or "Man in the Mirror"
I voted yes, but in all honesty I'm going to see it tomorrow.
lol
2i doubt i'll ever see it
3the movie is getting great reviews. i'm seeing it Saturday. can't wait.
4Pass. If I want to watch a skinny zombie do the heroin shakes around a stage, I'll go see Amy Winehouse
5I'm hoping to go on Sunday! Can't wait;)
6With doubt I went into the theater for "This is it!", with tears I walked out the room while most of the audiences still remained sitting on theirs seats even if the screen went blank few minutes ago. MJ wows us again with his genuine talents. It's somewher I have never been to. Go into the theater, feel for yourself. Millions of words can't describe one trillion of "it".
7Usually I hate going to the "movies" with somebody/group - same aplies to watching DVD's with family or friends. I'm more comfortable watching it alone... Don't know why, but I just like being by myself (even though 1 never is in a cinema, right?) when watching something new. Even DVD's at home are the same - sometimes I've already seen it, sometimes newly purchased.
8-
Anyway, I was invited to go with someone else, so I will... I wonder if I can sit 2 rows back from the person I'm going with? LOL Oh well, it's only right that I spring for dinner...
Saw it last night. It was completely amazing and absolutely moving. A perfect tribute to the King of Pop.
9I just saw it a few hours ago and I have to say it was amazing. It really did justice to who Michael was as a person and it was very well put together. I didn't even feel sad (as I expected for most of it) but I was really sad when it ended. I could have watched hours more of this.
10I have said it before and I will say it again. People are so full crap when it comes to this man. Minutes before he died he was a punch line at best, and a criminal many people's hearts at worst. I appreciate his songs as much as the next person, but let's not pretend America had this love affair with him before he died. Let's also not pretend he has done anything remotely relevant in the last 10-15 years. Can we please stop glorifying people who die untimely drug-related deaths??
11hello everyone, my name is helen n im very sick girl. i will always love michael jackson n i will always be here for his family n frineds n michael music will live thougth me always cuz i use to be in love with him when i was a teenage n his is still in my heart.. i love u michael jackson very much n i will miss u alots...
12Amen, jkat!!! I have also said these exact same words and agree with you wholeheartedly. Thanks for saying what most people are too cowardly to say.
13Saw it last night. I wasn't that impressed. It was basically just a dress rehearsal for a MJ show. Nothing we haven't seen before. I almost fell asleep! I was more impressed w/ his back up dancers and Orianthi on guitar.
14Wasn't this thrown together because he died? Random video thrown together for profit doesn't sound that great. Add the psycho fans attending in costume, crying and screaming, etc......will skip this one.
15there aren't enough words for how amazing seeing this was. I saw it Tuesday night at an advanced screening and i was speechless. It was a masterpiece. It felt like Michael was singing and practicing just for the audience in the theater. I was singing and dancing in my seat and everyone clapped after every song. it made me cry at the end
16wonderful film! It really did justice to who Michael was as a person and singer and dancer! the best of the world of all the time!
