Lindsay has signed up to play a Southern debutante in Tennessee William's The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond. LL will play Fisher Willow in the film based in the 1920s. Lohan will play Fisher Willow, a 1920s Southern debutante with a fondness for stirring up trouble.
The daughter of a Memphis plantation owner, Fisher has no patience for narrow-minded people and no problem with shocking and insulting those around her.
After she returns from studying abroad, Fisher falls in love with Jimmy (Chris Evans), the son of an alcoholic father (David Strathairn) and an insane mother, who works at a store on Fisher's family plantation.
Fisher tries to pass her less-privileged lover off as an upper-class suitor in an effort to deceive her disapproving aunt (Ann-Margret), who controls the family fortune.

I knew it was only a matter of time before they paired her up with Ann Margret.. they look like they are related. Oh Good Lord though do we really need those two swapping wild sex stories? Yikes... and a yeah this role sounds like a real stretch for LL. LOL!

21I'm not surprised at her playing this role. She's a tomboy and raspy but dare I say 'ever so slightly sexy' if she's sober and being paid for it. ewww, just sexy for some people....I'm just trying to remember her back when FF was out.
22Reading about Fisher Willow reminds me of Lindsay herself. Especially the part about stirring up trouble and being unafraid to shock people. Very LL.
