Dakota Fanning got all dressed up for the upcoming December/January issue of Teen Vogue. She isn't the first member of the film's cast to appear on the cover of the magazine, after Taylor Lautner's turn a few months ago. Dakota had a busy weekend at their press conference in LA, where we got lots of amazing one-on-one time with the cast — more of that to follow. She found time recently to sit down and open up about growing up in Hollywood and joining the Twilight gang. Kristen Stewart even weighed in about working with Dakota. Here's more:
- On prepping for her role in New Moon: "I wasn’t in my mirror like Zoolander, doing Blue Steel! The red contacts were enough. I read all four Twilight books in one week. It’s such a phenomenon and I wanted to be able to be a part of that."
- On maturing in Hollywood: "I’m going to get older. . . And I want to act for the rest of my life — it’s what I love — so I have to move forward with my career. The choices that I make might not always please everyone, but I have to do what I feel is appropriate and right for the time."
- On acting out: "I get my rebellion out through my movies. I’m boring in that way. I enjoy having a normal life."
- Kristen on Dakota: "Dakota is one of the most consistent actors I’ve ever worked with. I’m always better with her."

i agree w/ running.....dakota acts and looks like an actual high schooler. she's adorable and has a good head on her.
8Dakota is a wonderful actress and has shown time and time that she has staying power. As long as she continues to make the right choices she should be one of the few child actors to have continued success into adulthood and beyond.
9I don't know why people knock Nikki...birds of a feather flock together and Nikki doesn't use Kristen. For all we know they enjoy the fame equally or despise it but they project a certain image to people and Nikki gets called a "user."
I don't know where this comes from she is practically like a sister to Kristen and spends vacations and family time with her.
On another note, Kristen and Dakota have made three films together. Sort of. They were both in Kate Hudson's directorial debut "Cutlass" and they are doing "The Runways" together and they have wrapped New Moon as well.
They have probably worked more closely on Runaways film but still I get the impression that they work well together and get along. That's always cool.

17Haha, me too Pampire. After I had read the first, I was hooked and kept begging at my friend's door to lend me the next one.. I would not be whole before I had gotten the sequel.. I literally did nothing except read those damn books for about a week.
