It's no one's fault but Britney's. She could've said no. She could've prepared. She could've stayed sober. She could've done a LOT of things.

No one took advantage of her or forced her into anything. She's an adult, she makes her own choices. Too bad she won't own up to it.

hmmmm…. first things first. An insider? I have a hard time believing things that don’t have an actual source, and even then it doesn’t mean it’s true. Plenty of things obviously went wrong with this performance, it wasn’t anywhere near good. But let’s not make things up. She was late because her flight wasn’t on time. It had to circle the runway several times before being cleared to land. That was reported that day, before the debacle of a performance made everyone want something more sensational for an excuse. Also, which parties was she at after the awards? Where are the pictures? The only pics I saw were of her going to the hotel with her brother. How could she be out partying without photographic evidence? That’s pretty much impossible with Britney. Just look at the days leading up to the VMA’s, she was partying the whole time she was in Vegas! And we saw the pictures to prove it. So obviously plenty went wrong, and most of it, if not all of it was Britney’s fault. But there is plenty to pick on her about without having to make stuff up.

Are we still caring about this? There are so many talented musicians out there that actually sing and play not pretend.

How can it be any ones fault but her own? She didn't even try. She tried to blame it on Sarah Silverman, saying she over heard her rehearsing and making fun of her babies but as it turns out Sarah didn't even rehearse that part. If she had at least put some effort into it wouldn't have been so bad. She is just a mess!

We all want the cute, well packaged Britney that she once was. She has made it clear that she doesn't want to be that performer anymore. Unfortunately, I don't think she has enough talent to do it on her own. She needs to listen to her "people" and let them market her...we don't like the real Britney.

True. Seems like she knows she's got $$$ either way. She'd love to be in the limelight again, but doesn't want to put the work into it she once did. Rather she acts like we should all just appreciate her "performance" because she's already famous.

She is the only one to blame. She arrived late, and then did not go to rehersal but up to her room to eat and drink. Only then did she go to rehersal...with a drink in her hand. The rehersal had a Brit stand-in and things were going good. Until Brit showed up and couldn't do the dance moves. This was NOT a last minute change in performance becuase last week we heard she was NOT doing the Cris Angel bit. She did NOT hear Sara Silverman's routine, because only thing Sara did in rehersals was "joke, joke,..". MTV had an outfit that covered Brit but she would NOT wear it. She fired her hair dresser at the last minute.
Come On!! Brit was stoned!! Look at the glassy eyes! She was out all night partying before.

She's officially disgusting and a joke. Her performance was horrible and the fact that she didn't wear underwear that night was TASTELESS. I'm tired of her and I wouldn't mind if I didn't see another post on her. Her pics on this post are piggish :COW: and disgusting!!!

That's exactly what her performance was - lazy. I think her body looked fabulous, of course not as fabulous as it was 3 years ago, but still great. Britney just doesn't give a damn. Anybody who expects "MORE" from her is going to be disappointed.

Umm yeah I don't know what else to say other than of course Brit only has HERSELF to blame. Why is she flying in so last-minute anyway? If I were her, I would have been practicing from the day I decided I was going to get on that stage and perform. She doesn't give a shite, and she wants to be able to earn her $700,000+ per month by doing NOTHING. That disgusts me more than anything!

boy. i watched the performance along with everyone else in the world expecting a train reck but secretly hoping for the best. and we all know it sucked. she was obviously nervous, hadn't practiced enough, and could have worn a better outfit. but the way people are tearing her apart for being fat? come on. who cares how much money she has, she's had 2 kids back to back and looks pretty darn good for that. she's 25 and has had her life fall apart. husband cheated on her and is now trying to take her kids? she's made some bad choices, but honestly i'm tired of the constant ragging. let her grow up in peace. and i know, she puts herself in that place...but how would you like to have photographers following you 24/7. just waiting for you to fail? and people calling your kids mistakes? i love sarah silverman...but she went too far. britney needs a hug and some good advice.

As so many people have already said, Britney is the only one to blame here.

I find it interesting that she picked her own outfit. Is she so deluded that she thinks that actually looked good on her? Well, maybe if she had BROUGHT IT, it would be easier for everyone to overlook the flaws that her choice of outfits failed to conceal. At any rate, I would like to see the corset outfit that was picked out for her.

This is sad, I think she's depressed. Oh well, at least she had a good ride.

nyar, i agree that she craves the attention but i think people have to realize that this is what her whole life is based on and has been since she was like 15. being the sexy schoolgirl and turning people on. when that comes crashing down and she doesn't have a good support group things just fall apart. and yes, she needs to grow up and accept responsibility and be a role model and mother to her boys...but has she ever had that herself? i'm sure no one around her is encouraging her to pack it up for a couple years and move to nebraska to get her sh*t together.
