I used to have a lot of respect for Catherine Hardwicke. Her movie Thirteen is just incredible. But she's come off sounding like such a jackass with all these comments about Rob and Kristen. It's so inappropriate.

Why would she be worried about Angarano? He wasn't in the film that she was directing. His being arrested for statutory rape wouldn't affect her job and her film.

I think she was being halfway joking with the jail deal. But the way she described it before, they hit it off big time in their audition, and CH was a little worried they'd start some hot romance on the set when she already had a boyfriend, MA, who CH was actually friends with. So, I think she was just sorta warning Robert to dive in there, where it could have gotten messy.

she didn't mean he'd actually go to jail. she was just trying to make it clear to him she was still young, he was older, and mixing business with pleasure is not professional. she had a point. she was appealing to the fact he was older and should be responsible in how he interacted with jailbait stewart.

ever since kristen's been seeing, dating rob she's been latching more onto taylor...in brazil she was clutching the inside of his jacket, in a kind of intimate way, like when u like someone, and now she's turned more toward taylor, and has her hand on his shoulder, either she's trying to deflect her relationship with rob from the public eye, or she's dark and manipulative, and is toying with rob's feelings...although he did say he likes darkness, so there u have it...u get what u like.

CH told this story last year already. and RP has told it from his point of view too. That she called him, told him he got the job, then in a very serious voice made him promise not to mess with Kristen because she was underaged and taken and he could go to jail. So, CH isn't making this up, RP has already talked about it himself.

Yeah what about Michael? You know the guy she was dating at the time she decided to give it a go with Robert Pattinson. Man you people focus on the most irrelvant information. She had a boyfriend at the time (this is a key factor). Not that Robert shouldn't date Kristen because she was underage but because she had a BOYFRIEND.

i'm just glad they are together now. the reason kristen has a hand on taylor is probably to remind people the movie is about him, also to not exclude him when she knows everyone is there to watch her and rob. and rob being such a nice guy and friend of taylor's, i'm sure he understands and in agreement.

I'm confused, does Hardwicke have another movie coming out? Or was she talking to Time about Twilight and New Moon? I am just curious as to why she was even being interviewed, since she's no longer affiliated with the franchise. Her comments are so bizarre and inappropriate.

Hardwicke needs to keep her mouth shut. She has made some of the most negative comments about RP and the saga and taken credit where she shouldn't. She is not involved in NEW MOON I truly believe she is angry and spiteful person. She lost the directors gig and she is acting out of spite. Most of the quote attributed to her should be ignored as hateful ramblings of a woman scorned and jealous of the success of the books of which she is no longer a part of. The first film left alot to be desired I hope the rest are considerably better

I don't think she knows anything about what is going on with Rob and Kristen just like "NONE" of us do....But, CH is right Rob is too old for Kristen then and now. Kristen is a teenager just like Taylor they are in the same age category.....MA and Kristen were both under age when they started dating, I'm sure it was very innocent. MA is 21...he is 2 years younger then Rob...
