Wow, seeing an interview of her just solidfies completely to me that she has no acting ability (yet to be seen) all I saw in her interview was Bella, which means she didn't act at all in Twilight, she just played herself. I hope she kicked it up a notch in New Moon, otherwise I'm just going to stick to the book because my imagination is WAY more diminsional that her acting.

WOW is she serious? people bag on twilight and bella BECAUSE bella is such a damsel in distress. she is totally obsessive about edward and has like zero independence. it's when she's with jacob that bella is more herself and more of an independent woman (even with a male there).

no, bella really isnt a damsel in distress. she doesnt have the "oh, please come to my rescue" attitude that goes with the damsel. bella is ALWAYS in distress but doesnt like to accept help from anyone. she wants to do things on her own. she happens to be saved by someone else ALL THE TIME, but she is not a damsel in distress.

i REALLY do not like what kirsten has turned into. she used to seem sweet and fun and now she just seems full of it, trying to push this tough girl, i-dont-give-a-f image and looking like she hasnt seen a shower in a few weeks

In the beginning Bella was independent until she met Edward. Once she fell in love with him she became 100% co-dependent on his existence. I always felt that Bella didn`t have a purpose until she met Edward. Like she was depress and just going through the motions of life and that Edward almost gave her a reason to live. Right or wrong message to send to young girls probably. We all should find our way in life and not dependent on one person to make us happy.

Agree w/ Danja . . . Kristen has become so self absorbed, whiney, petulant, obnoxious. And the convulted responses about her and Rob just belie reason. She looks so uncomfortable whenever she shows up in a dress . . . she needs to get some coaching from the Black judge from that reality show about getting to be a model.

I think she is doing fine with how many interviews she has, there is no way everyone is going to like her, heck i didnt like bella until i read new moon so we will see when the movie comes out. Until then the interviewer could pretend to be a little more excited to interview someone and not dullsville, i know its harsh but if your going to be on camera, be ON.

people are so mean! i think she just gave honest answers to what she thinks about the character. you are obliged to disagree with her, but that doesn't make what she's saying insincere. and none us know her personally, but i am pretty sure that she hasn't "turned in" to anything. she was always a little art house actress who smokes various different things and is really uncomfortable in the limelight. i think that kristen has really done a fantastic job with the crazy life thrown at her. she talks openly about wanting to make sure she's honest in interviews. she explains herself well in this interview for et http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9kdE0M8npo&feature=player_embedded#

She's so awkward...lol, but I'm sure I'd be the same way. I agree with her though. Bella is not a damsel in distress, at least not until she gets with Edward and then her world becomes one dangerous thing after another. It's only natural, thus why humans are not normally a part of it. A damsel in distress would not go to meet James alone to save everyone else. A damsel in distress would not hop on a plane to Italy knowing she would probably die, but doing it anyway to save the man she loves more than life itself. How many times did she say it didn't matter what happened to her as long as Edward existed. Is she dependent on Edward? Absolutely! Does she rely on him for her happiness? Yes. That doesn't make her a damsel in distress. It makes her a human involved in a dangerous world and I think she handles it all great. My only complaint is her never-ending concern that the Cullens and the pack aren't capable of handling the dangerous situations she finds herself in. She did worry way too much, at least until Breaking Dawn.

In total agreement with post 11, (6) needs to do a reality check. Kristen is an actor and for all you naysayers, one of the best young actresses I have seen in awhile, back to (6)Bella is a character, stop taking everything so damn literal., I felt like I was listening to talk radio when I read (6's) comment. If anyone needs to be critiqued in this interview it would be the young lady asking the questions. That was embarrassing.....wish she would have shown some excitement!

I really believe she is sincere in her passion as an actress..BUT I find her stuttering and stammering in interviews so uncomfortable. Maybe its true her thoughts are racing faster in her head and it's not coordinating with her speaking...I want to say take a breath and say one sentence at a time...How she and Rob communicate as a couple must be unique because he slow and contemplative (maybe too slow) and she's all jittery and sputtering.

Kristen seems like a cool girl, in my opinion. Some people just don't want as much attention as Brad and Angie have. There's nothing wrong with that.
I love the books, but that's just it. They're BOOKS turning into movies. There's no Bella, or Edward. I think people need to start realizing that..haha.

She is an AWESOME actress (Watch her MOVIES) and this is only the beginning! Kristen was great in this interview I always enjoy watching her, you can tell she has a lot of ideas and she doesn't know which one to spit out, I can only imagine what she has up there all the knowledge, I believe if she were to do a movie (direct) she would be great!

Yes the lady who interviewed her was so lame, she was nice a asked great questions but no emotion no excitement... this is Kristen Stewart for gosh sakes (look alive Stevens) he he!!

Kristen does seem to be articulate and contemplative. I think that part her scattered responses is just the repetitiveness of the situation and exhaustion coming into play when she answers.
Hope she takes a break and then re-evaluates what type of movies will bring her satisfaction and entertain the fans as well. I don't think she is a one-trick pony.

Completely agree with you.

She seems down to earth and normal to me, especially considering everything she has gone through since signing onto Twilight. Why is everyone so critical of Kristen and the interviewer, geez get a grip. It's not life and death here, it's a make believe movie.

Once again Kristen gave a wooden one dimensional performance. Rob conveyed more emotions with one look than she did with the camera on her for minutes. Her performance was even more disappointing after she said in every interview that she was so exhausted and drained from the "break up scene".. She went on and on about how big a deal the break up scene was and then she has one look---sad shadowed eyes and staring. No contorted grief stricken face, no fetal position aching and sobbing, no crazed frantic searching for him..she is so over-rated. Taylor was really great at conveying care and wanting -quite convincing. Rob is so interesting to watch. Kristen should never have been cast.

The reason there are so many that don't like Kristen is because of her comments, insults, attitude, appearance and behavior. Many parents of teen fans who are traditional and moral kids resent the franchise allowing this punky, strange, troubled, hostile, foul-mouthed crude, rude, inarticulate goth, pot smoking, girl kissing tomboy being promoted as a role model and someone worthy of being admired.

Read her Entertainment Weekly August interview, Vanity Fair interview and view her E.W. videos where she drops f bombs. Watch how she behaves at Comic Con 2009 and her Teen Choice appearance. This girl only got where she is due to her parents working in the industry and her boyfriend Michael Angarano knowing Twilight's director. Kristen's girlfriend Nikki got the break as her dad used to date Hardwicke. Considering that Kristen had a huge break, she goes out of her way to be combative, crude, insulting to fans and revolting in interviews. A few public appearances in a dress and her pretending to be Bella in public don't undo months of her quotes and behavior. How dumb does Summit think the public is? They have minders on Rob now. Why? They are afraid he will spill the beans as he is an extremely honest guy.
