This week has been nonstop stories about what went wrong at Britney's disastrous VMA performance last Sunday. Now, Us Weekly is saying that she is in talks to make an appearance at this Sunday's Emmy Awards. Apparently it would be some sort of public apology for disappointing everyone at the VMAs. Sources close to Brit aren't denying that this is in the works. What do you think - does Britney owe her fans a public apology?

2um, i don't think she owes an apology to anyone. her performance was disappointing but it's not that big of a deal to apologize for it.

Sorry, but that show should be reserved for people who actually work hard on their television performances. I think it would be HUGELY disrespectful to the people the show is meant for to waste time on her. She had her 3 minutes on national television. Tough luck if she didn't use it wisely.

8Im iffy about this! I do feel that her performace was a catastrophe but we will never know the real reason of what went down before it! Plus, I don't think the Emmy's is the place to be doing this....what does this award show have to do with anything???? 16She can demonstrate an apology by getting back in shape, laying off the booze and parties, getting enough sleep and taking herself more seriously as a performer--as she once did. The best kind of apology would be a kick-ass performance to prove Britney IS BACK. She could do it if she wanted to. She also needs to surround herself with people who will be brutally honest with her, not just yes-people. Then she needs to be humble enough to accept their guidance.

I really felt sorry for this girl when she did the interview with Matt Lauer. I thought, just stay in your mansion and raise your child or go back home to your mother. But did she? No, she must love self-mutilation.

It's really none of our business what happened. We saw what we saw and we are all speculating but she doesn't "owe" anyone an excuse or an apology. She really owe's herself an apology I guarantee she let herself down more than anybody else.
47Her best bet would be to cancel any public activity or new releases until she *really* wants to do it. As long as it's obbious she doesn't care, she's insulting her fans. (Not that this ever stopped her - or them - before.)
