The Jolie-Pitts had a lovely time in Mumbai over the weekend. While we wish we would see more of Shiloh with the gang, it is pretty incredible to see the family enjoying some quality time in between work days. Angelina has been hard at work on A Mighty Heart, and it turns out she became very good friends with Mariane, the woman she is portraying in the film. Life & Style reports:
“It's a special friendship that comes with a lot of perks,” an insider exclusively tells Life & Style. “Mariane has traveled frequently on Brad Pitt’s plane, and she and Angelina talk about everything together, not just the movie.” Brad brought the two women together early last year in LA when he was promoting Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Angie, in part to familiarize Angie with Mariane’s accent, which Angie had to learn for the movie.
“Brad felt if he was going to make this movie, it was really important that Angelina and Mariane became friends and started to understand each other,” says the insider. “Brad says he feels really lucky that they hit it off because the movie just couldn't have happened if they hadn’t, especially since Jen [Aniston] had already met with Mariane several times as they were developing the project and had an eye on playing the role herself. Brad says he’s overjoyed that everyone has hit it off so well, and he says Maddox has a friend for life in Mariane’s young son, Adam.”
And it seems Brad and Angelina have a friend for life in Mariane. “Even though it took Danny Pearl’s death to bring everyone together like this,” says the insider, “Brad, Angelina and Mariane are all determined to keep this friendship healthy and really make a difference in the world while they’re at it.”
We know this role is important to both Brad and Angelina. However, it looks like Angie can remember that once she is out of character she is just a regular mom to Zahara and Maddox while they take in some sight-seeing. More fabulous pics of the Jolie-Pitts playing family so read more

I love the Pitts, and I have so much respect for the Pearl family, Daniel Pearl was an amazing person , that he risked his life to find out who was funding the terrorists, and he found it in a very unpleasent way. It is kind of amazing that one man was capable of so much, gee, why is our government not "able" to figure these things out. Let me not get into politics too much, but he was literally "the man that knew too much".
I absolutly could NEVER have seen Jen aniston play this role. She is not even a serious actress, it would have ben a total bomb, and she would never have done Marriane justice.
After reading this, I think the Pitts have way more substance then anyone in Hollywood right now, besides Clooney.
23I watched the documentary on Daniel. Where it showed how they met and fell in love and it covered those last few days of his life..if this movie is true to the actual events and I am sure that it will be it should be amazing. I also watched his beheading video released by the terrorists..truly horrifying propaganda. Made all the more horrifying knowing that his original captures were going to release him and at the last moment he was sold to the killers.
Hopefully this movie will continue to validate his life and provide some more closure for Marianne.

25Yes I know the whole story...I followed to very closely. My husband has been in Iraq for over 15 months, and this whole deal since 9/11 has been very much a part of our lives. My point was that the 9/11 fund was for victims of that attack. It was not intended for journalists who were free to choose to go over and get killed. 9/11 victims did not make any choice like Daniel Pearl. Aside from all of that, I think what happened to him was a tragedy, much like what everyone else had to go through. I can't imagine being Mrs. Pearl, and I am thankful that I had not shared her fate when my husband came home safe.

27I personally think he deserved a medal of honor. While he did make the choice to seek the truth, I feel his story has been a bit swept under the rug for political reasons.
I actually had a friend who's husband died in the 9/11 attacks, she received a very large amount of money , blew right through it and had a major drug problem. It really is tragic how so many lives were affected by one major tradgedy.
I have much respect for your family and for your husband.
28I don't get the sympathy for Jennifer Aniston. If Brad had moved on with some tall tanned toothy blond starlet instead of Angelina, I have a very strong feeling all this emp & symp would be darn near non existent for Jen A as would the numerous movie roles, magazine and talkshow interviews, CNN crawls, or need for press releases to denounce rumors about her relationship or lack there of with VV.

I just really wish people could look at Brad and Angelina and NOT mention Jennifer. They have all moved on... maybe in way that some people don't quite agree with, but such is life. I do respect the work that Brad and Angelina do, charity work that is, and I'll leave it at that. Baby Z looks so healthy, yay! And I adore Maddox.
32PS -- it is weird that you NEVER see Shiloh... I get that they are trying to "protect" her, but Angelina brought Zahara out when she was a baby... they sort of create a specticle by not bringing her around, it just makes people that more curious.

44I think Shiloh is at home due to logistical issues: her parents ran out of arms. Also, the air over there isn't exactly the best for a fragile baby. I think we'll see more of her as she gets bigger and stronger. At least, I hope!

48we have 3 kids and when the baby was under 6 months it was easier to leave her at home and frankly better for her. a baby can get over stimulated and they need constant care or sleep. if there's a lot of noise the baby might be up fussing all night from it. the little ones eat so frequently (and then need a diaper change) that when you take them out that really needs to be either a short errand or the trip is for them; ie to the park or a walk around the neighborhood. who wants to change diapers with all those photographers around? i think when the baby can sit up and they can manage a her in a stroller we'll see more of her (with a nanny or other 3rd set of hands).
