Oh man, Keri Russell's little baby River had the most amazing look on his face as the two walked around LA yesterday. So wide-eyed and perky saying what's up to the world. I love it! I hope the teensy one is enjoying his time in sunny LA. Keri's hair is still blown out straight, but she'll always be a curly girl at heart. River looks like he's already got his parents' good looks, but I wonder if he'll inherit his mom's wild locks as well. Keri looks like a perfectly content new momma, now I just wish we got another look at that man of hers. Wink.

River is a little cutie
Very adorable. Those slings are really cool.
Adorable baby, just adorable and he looks so big. I've said it before and i'll say it again those slings make me feel uneasy.
Aww what a cutie!
She and baby are too cute, I kind of miss the felicity hair too though.
wrong link!
What an adorable little baby! He looks just like a cabbage patch doll!
That is a sling I want. I'm settled on it. Now I just need to find out the name of it. I love it even more than Liev and Naomi's sling.
Those slings are crazy, ok idea but not sure how I'd feel about using one.
What a cute little boy he is!!! Arent new mothers supposedly super paranoid? I mean if so then how the hell do they carry their babies in these sling things? They scare the sh*t out of me.
Awww, River is adorable!!
Does anyone have any experience with those slings? Are they comfortable for both baby and mother? It looks so practical, but at the same time I wonder if all the weight is on her back.
By saying 'paranoid' I ment with the well being of their child
Nyar-why do they make you uneasy? I thought the same thing at first, but both of my sisters use them with their kids and they are actually quite fabulous.
I commented about those slings on the Naomi and Liev post, I have to wonder if they're safe too. They probably are, but he looks too heavy I'd probably put him in a stroller.
They're extremely comfortable and extremely safe, assuming you use it correctly (much like any baby product). It's safer than carrying them on your arm, where they can be jostled out easily. The sling gives them support all the way around.
Also, they generally support up to 30 lbs, and distribute the weight to make it so it doesn't put stress on the back.
Awww, he's so cute! I loved those slings when my baby was smaller.
juju. The weight is on her back, but because the fabric is so thick its dispersed. Ive carried my neices in them before and they are very comfortable. Most people who use them use them becuase it creates a better bond between mother and child (as opposed to always having the kid in a stroller where they cant see or hear you) Its just like carrying you baby, except you have your hands free!
Aww, he's a cutie!
They also work as a hip carrier when the child is older.
I LOVED my hip carrier, but I love this sling so much more. It's much more versatile.
Greggie- I agree. Yes, they can be unsafe if you dont use them right, but anything that we use in our everyday lifes is like that. A carseat can be unsafe, a crib can be unsafe, a pack and play can be unsafe. But all these things have been tested and proven to work if you use them correctly. The same for these slings, they wouldnt sell them and people wouldnt be buying them if it was so easy for a baby to fall out.
What a cute baby!!! I too thought those slings seemed a little unsafe!
Ok the sling sounds cool, I'm convinced, I guess I'm just not used to seeing them, I bet they're super comfy for baby it's like riding around in a hammock all day.
kerry!!
river is such a cutie...
i still miss Felicity
What a cutie. That second link brings me to some stupid team jolie crap.
That baby is soooo cute! She's very down to earth, love her!
Does anyone know how old her baby is, because she looks incredible to have had a kid this yr.
I know Liss, I emailed Molly about it, I hope she changes it, I want to see her boyfriend.
he's so cute
i think the baby is like 3 mos or so. she looked amazing the week after she gave birth!
SO CUTE

He's only a few months old. I think he was born in June? She looked that good even the week after he was born, though.
Dammit.
ah he is cute but i would be scared to put a baby in one of those things
Awww she looks like a perfect mama!
Such a cute little baby boy!

* figures
Greggie!! Where have you been woman
I was visiting my parents for their anniversary.
cute
It's a Peanut Shell sling: http://www.goo-ga.com/
I use one (along with a few others) - it is perfectly safe and very comfortable for both mom and baby. No need to be uneasy about it!
It's not a Peanut Shell. It's a New Native. Peanut Shells are awesome, too though. They're just not as flexible as the cotton New Native, and the strap isn't as wide.
Awww! Cute - we've missed you..esp. on the Brit posts..
Welcome back
Fashionstar-lol yes it would be like being carried around in a hammock all day. lol. But it also creates a "womblike" environment. They can you breathing and they can hear your heartbeat, which in my experience is a babies favorite thing. Babies only want to be near to their mothers, thats what makes these things so great because your babe can be close to you, but you dont have to stop everything you are doing so that you can hold them.
Greggie, welcome back...I was looking for you on the Ryan Reynolds/Scarlett Johannsen (sp) post yesterday! Why does it seem that I always find you on a baby sling post! LOL just kidding.
Slings are safe people...just like Greggie wrote, if used correctly.
