The up and coming stars of Gossip Girl got together in NYC last night to celebrate their salacious new show about rich Manhattan teens. I'm definitely excited for this one, but what can I say - there's no resisting the Josh Schwartz Effect. Naturally, all the little starlets looked fabulous at their big premiere - especially the girls like Blake Lively (who plays Serena van der Woodsen and is best known for Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) and little Taylor Momsen (who is actually 14 and was Cindy Lou Who in The Grinch - love it). See, I'm learning their names already - who knows, could be the next R-Bils. Speaking of Blake Lively - Buzz had a chance to sit down with the new TV star and talk to her about playing Serena and what it's like to adapt such a well loved book series. Gossip Girl premieres tonight at 9 on the CW - I can't wait, you?

5meh i'm not sure bout this show. i never read the books and this show is over hyped. i'll watch the first episode just to see if its any good, but if its anything like the OC (
) then i'll probably not continue watching after the first episode lol

20I'm really disappointed that Kristen Bell wasn't there since she's narrating.
21I saw it already. I liked it but I wish Jenny had been a better and more suitable actress.
22I am loving the show so far! It's amazing. I love Leighton, but I don't know whether to be team Blair or team Serena. Who knows, my favorite so far is the Taylor girl. She's adorable.

the show is good but they didn't cast a person who looked ANYTHING like the jenny in the books, the jenny in the book has very very large breasts and brown hair snd her
character mainly revolves around her complaining that she wants to be blonde and dealing with her large breasts, but the actress who play's her is flat and blonde..not that that's bad or
anything..i just wish they would have made jenny look more like she does in the book... at least it will be interesting to see what jenny does now since alot of the storylines will change
alot from the books because of this.. but other than that i lyk the girl who plays her 
28Blake looks gorgeous; I hope she doesn't get corrupted soon like Lindsay did. And that Taylor girl is already grating on my nerves with that stupid pink birthday dress she's swishing around.

30I didnt read the books...I guess Ill have to. I watched the first show and I liked it....it just might be my new guilty pleasure. I have one problem though...the casting directing. The girl that plays Serena looks like shes 40..

48i actually liked it. whats there not to like really? but i wish there was more diversity among them. i know there was an Asian and black girl as the backgrounders but still i hope they get more screen time in the episodes to come because I'll sure be watching.
49I was highly disappointed by Gossip girl. I'll prob watch the next few episodes to see if it gets any better but eh. It was too much the storyline seems as if the writers were trying too hard to make it engaging. Bring back VM this show is a poor substitute
