Despite the hefty price tag, Lindsay and Michael Jackson evidently weren't the star combination that producers were hoping for at the WMAs last night. MJ chose to perform We Are the World over the much anticipated Thriller. Show-goers said his voice cut out during some of the high notes, despite only singing four lines. And LL failed to live up to her GQ Obsession of the Year title, as she was not very popular with the crowd. She was booed twice after screwing up her lines. Whoops.
Still other party goers managed to make the best of it. Beyonce had kind words for MJ at least, saying "If it wasn't for Michael Jackson, I would have never, ever performed. He has made such an impact on my life and every performer's life. Michael Jackson, I love you!" And the audience got all worked up when MJ threw his Roberto Cavalli jacket into the audience, including the designer who was busy dancing with Paris in the VIP room. Nelly Furtado has gorgeous eyes!
Beyonce is so right...as weird and creepy as MJ is now, he has influenced a lot of young performers today. I miss the MJ from the 80's. It saddens me to see what he has become.

17Nelly looked so much better during her first album, when it seemed she didn't try so hard. She's got such a beautiful face, she doesn't need so much makeup. Ironic how sexy women lose their sexiness as soon as they actually start trying.

23I don't watch alot of T.V., but something was on the other day about M.J. and I watched it., The Jackson 5 or something like that. It was a good movie., I laughed and ....teared up..blah...I just wish M.J. wouldn't have changed into something unidentifiable., He was cool at one point. When most of us were kids, he was into the beat it song...he was all good, entertaining....I use to like the old heart and soul of what people refer to now as whacko jacko. Man, what happens to people? Fame? please, that would be like a big fat, 'haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bring it!' People should try to be stronger., and take risks., but then stay strong and not fall into the B.S. ..stupid wrong decisions category.
i will always have respect for MJ, for his great contribution to music. He didnt have a childhood and his father pushed him to the limit, i guess this is why he has gone bit whoo hoo lately...
