Bridget Moynahan met a friend out for lunch with her most precious accessory — John Edward Thomas Moynahan — in her arms yesterday afternoon. The little cutie peered over his mom's shoulder throughout lunch, showing off his monogrammed blanket. Interestingly, the "Thomas" aspect of the initials was left off that one. Well, can't say I blame her for avoiding reminders of her baby daddy, but I can't imagine it's all that easy because little John is the spitting image of Tom (and, awwww, he's already got those quarterback hands...ha).

well, all the times I've checked out ordering monogrammed stuff, I've only seen the option for 3 letters and the poor kid's stuck with two middle names! if i were bridget, i would have left out the "T", too!!
That baby is so cute. I have no clue who his mom or dad are. I'm not really into sports.
baby!
I agree with nlw - generally monograms only allow 3 letters so you have to drop one. Our last name is two words so I always drop the middle initial.
cute little tike
he is so cute, but are we going to get a daily post of the new addition to the celeb babies, welcome to the life of the jolie pitts
huge hands on that baby.
i hope we dont start seeing her. UGHHHH.
he has football hands
He looks so much like his daddy.
oh, BTW I love when people have more than the standard 3 names. Who really cares about monogramed items? I don't think I have anything at the moment that is monogramed nor do I have the desire to have anything?? just my 2 cents.
I care about monogrammed stuff, I love it. I just don't care that not all of our initials fit. My husband's and oldest son's do because they have no middle name, but I leave off the middle initial for myself and my youngest son. This next one will have a "dual" middle name, so he or she will get two letters dropped on monogramming.
he's so cute!!
Cuteness!
They look so sad.
Is it the huge smile on her face that looks sad or the fact that the baby's too young to purposely smile?
Yeah, it's been said already, but monograms are either one letter or 3 - not four. That's why people usually have one middle name, unless they're royalty or something... Those people have 4 or 5!
cute boy.. maybe just the "JM" would've been fine though?
Yeah, why do they look sad? How could a newborn look sad if he's not crying and she looks very happy.
very very cute baby..i really respect her for staying positive in all of this and would've been better if tom at least helped during the pregnancy but u just don't know whats going on behind closed doors...but it's a good thing both parties stayed mum in this...i think..
wonder how tom feels seeing thi and knowing hi baby got momma's name.
i wonder what she's gonna do next to make tom look like an ass to the public. skank.
Soooooooooooooo cute.
She looks great, and her son is adorable!
I love it that she gave the baby her last name instead of tom's! He just seems like a selfish jerk...
Such a cute little boy and looks so much like Tom Brady.
team bridget !!!
She looks great for having a baby just four weeks ago and John is adorable.
very cute
Why didn't she give him Tom's last name? If I were Tom I wouldn't want to help her either... Geeze they were together forever then when they break up she turns up pregnant? HMMMMMMM
She should have named him Peyton Moynihan.
Look at the hands on this DDG baby! Hopefully he'll grow up big and strong...and kick his daddy's ass for mistreating his Mommy.
Peyton Moynihan! I love it!
He's so cute! Aww she looks happy!
I'm just always suprised that everyone jumps to the conclusion that Tom wants nothing to do with the baby. Couples have children out of wedlock ALL THE TIME nowadays and make it work. I'm sure they will both do what they can to be good parents, for the sake of the baby.
It's too bad their dirty laundry had to be aired in public. It was probably hard enough finding out there was a baby on the way after they split!!! I hope this cute little guy is spared the drama and only gets the love of two parents! Too many kids suffer because their parents couldn't act like adults!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
What a cutie. He's big.
she "turned up pregnant"???? seriously, tom's a big boy. he knows how babies are made. this woman is beautiful and succesful, now she has a healthy baby too
she can do better than tom brady. hopefully this boy will get a hands on dad at some point.
Tom is a loser for missing out on this. She looks like a great loving mom. He will never see Gisele like this if they ever have a baby. She probably can't even make cereal, plus she looks like a man.
I totally agree with "she turned up pregnant?" Umm hello, I believe he knows how babies are made. She is better off without him. I can't imagine Gisele pregnant. Would she actually eat? Then again, look at Nicole Richie. Anyway, I hope this little boy gets a real daddy too, not some poser.
Good for her! I don't blame her one bit for giving the boy her last name, surely she can support him herself and doesn't even need Tom now.
I disagree, I see her in his face.
They make an adorable family just the two of them.
awww hes tiny, she looks happy
Oh geez. Can we PUHLEASE get over the "she trapped him" bs. That is so lame. It takes two to make a baby. I highly doubt she tied him down and forced him to have sex with her and then just happened to have it turn out to be a baby. And then I've read comments on other boards of people saying, "oh she probably stopped taking her BC and didn't tell him."
UGH!!!!
My friend's son was a birth control AND condom failure. Yep. Its possible. None of that is 100%.
Now stop being petty already. Bridget has never been anything but classy and mature in the media. Where on earth people get this idea that she trapped him into this..I just don't get it.
um...why does she have to give the baby the "dad's" last name ? is this the dark ages ?
also, is it just me or do the initials on the blanket say "JME" ?
last time i checked, it took two to tango. anyway...does it really matter who is at fault? there's a kid involved, now so both bridget and tom should grow up and give this kid two stable parents (whether they're together or not). they don't have to like each other, but they should respect each other for the sake of the little guy. lot's of divorced couples raised their children in a far more classy manner than these two have exhibited. they need to start now before they screw him up.
oh, yeah...and who is she to decide that tom can't be a capable and providing parent? as a father, he does have some rights to be a part of the kid's life. if he doesn't want to be involved, then fine, that's his choice, but she shouldn't be the one dictating that he can't see his own kid.
(i'm not on one side or the other, i'm just tired of seeing children who get caught in the storm)
who are they?
