Jerry Seinfeld was joined by Ellen Barkin and Kelly Ripa last night for the launch party of his wife Jessica's new book, Deceptively Delicious. While Jessica probably doesn't need to rely on her husband to support her financially, Jerry is still reaping the benefits of Seinfeld long after the show was cancelled. In fact, he came in at #2 on the Forbes list of TV's Top-Earning Personalities, making $60 million last year. While Oprah beat him out by an insane $200 million, it's pretty amazing that Jerry is still making quite a nice living for himself on syndication royalties alone. We can't help but think about how much he'd be making if Seinfeld was still on the air.

I loved Seinfeld, I thought it was hillarious!
Kelly looks cute!
1I never watched Seinfield, but it's INSANE that he made most of that $60 million from syndication alone!
2Haha, remember the episode where he had to sign all the royalty checks and his hand started cramping up?!? I bet his checks from syndication are more than 12 cents each!
3No pop...i said i would like to see more HOT guys on here...not Seinfeld.
Honestly, i never liked his show...he and the other cast mates were tooooooooo annoying. But im told that was the idea...*shrug*
4Kelly Ripa looks tirrrrrrrrrrrrred.
5that's crazy that he's still getting that much. the show was funny.. but not THAT funny.
6Talk about cashing in on the same old thing!!!! but he was smart and it's an income for the rest of his life. He never needs to work again!
7Whew, he's so damn rich!
8I just love Seinfield! His show was hilarious!
9That's crazy how much money he has made from syndication alone.I loved Seinfield but that's a lot of money.
10Wow, you go Jerry!
11He hasn't made the 60m from syndication alone--like Jay Leno, the majority of his wealth comes from extremely lucrative speaking engagements and appearances, and then some more for endorsement deals. The article at Forbes references this briefly. I only bring it up because I know some of the organizations that have hired him to do appearances in the boston area and compared to other celeb speaking/show/comedian rates he is near the top in price, as well as being known for having pretty strict demands especially not allowing audiences to be very large at all. What do these celebs do with all the extra money? I know Leno has said he doesnt really touch the salary he gets from the tonight show because he doesn't need to. He has no children, so I just wonder what they do with it all! Naturally, since I can't even fathom having that much money, It's beyond me!
12I wonder if that purple dress is Costella Tagliapetra
13nice!
14Imagine.....60 million a year for syndication. Wow! I loved Seinfeld, the older episodes more so than the recent ones. He is an icon and his show will definately go down as one of the best comedy shows in history.
15Seinfeld may have a lot of money but that guy is seriously irritating!!
And nigerienne I couldn't agree with you more..I hate all of those shows.
16SYNDICATION EARNS SO MUCH MONEY, THAT IS AWESOME THAT HE CAN STILL REAP THE BENEFITS OF HIS SHOW AFTER ALL THIS TIME
17Yay for Seinfeld!
18Jessica's new book, Deceptively Delicious? From the looks of the party pics, it must have been one special party. Far as Jessica's book, I like the concept and will check it out for possible new recipes. Our family recently purchased a similar book a few months back called "The Sneaky Chef". The recipes were pretty simple to use and we found them to be entertaining at mealtime as well. Most important, it has shown us that there is more than one way to get our veggies and nutrition.
