Gwyneth flashed her big smile on Tuesday at a press conference to announce her new reality show, Spain... On The Road Again. Gwyneth will travel around Spain with chef Mario Batali and two other foodies, discovering all that the country has to offer. Gwyn has been strict about her eating habits for years, but she's still psyched to get her taste of Spain, even without the meat. Here's more:
"I think my Spanish father will kill me when I refuse to eat jamon Jabugo," the actress admitted, referring to the specially cured ham from the black Iberian pig – as well as to the patriarch of a Spanish family she lived with when she was a high-school exchange student. [But] I haven't eaten anything from a four-footed animal since I was about 15," she added.
Whether or not she plans on being adventurous with her eating, we're willing to bet that traveling Europe with the company chef means 13 weeks of some pretty amazing meals.

oh fishsticks
1She looks beautiful here
2She's upset that her children will never look like Shiloh.
3Bleh! I cannot stand this snob
4putrid has beautiful children
5Oh yeah, cause Im going to be really stoked to take the food advice of a bony ass Vegetarian
WHY did they pick this chick?
Im a bit offended that they couldnt find someone more appropriate to do food tasting for Spanish food.
Gwyneth Paltrow?
HOW?
6she needs to get that stick out of her a$$. Such a snot.
7She's a hag.
Never liked her.
8From the interviews I've read in the past she is very close to this family she lived with in Spain. She travels their frequently and has done a number of photo shoots...at her "spanish" family's house. Her interest in the country/culture of Spain seem genuine to me...but I've been to Spain a number of times and I don't know how you can be a vegetarian to truly experience the food there. Ham is so huge there and its literally in every dish.
9When you're traveling to foreign countries, it's probably NOT a good idea to turn down a national delicacy because you just don't eat meat. I could see maybe if you were allergic, but she isn't. I went to Ukraine and even though most of the food I ate wasn't exactly health food, I didn't turn it down because that would've been extremely rude. Geez, why did they pick Gwyneth to tour with Mario Batali?? So she can eat the parsley garnishes while he eats the real food? I can't stand her
10I cannot stand her. She was universally despised at Spense for her snobbish attitude and huge ego.
11dang, she's been vegetarian for a while!
12While I won't argue the snob part - she is definitely that - keep in mind that the body doesn't react well if it's been conditioned to a certain environment. For her, eating meat may no longer be viable and may make her very sick if she eats it (it has that affect on a vegetarian friend of mine).
13Not eating anything from "a four-footed animal" doesn't make her a vegetarian.
Anyway, I'm quite looking forward to this reality show, food is always interesting.

15bleah.
16spanish food its great!!! when you come to spain you have to try it!!! not only paella and sangria(although its great too), i think you would like cocido madrileño, fish in andalucia or shellfish in galicia
17I can't stand this biiiiiitch....she's such a conceited snob.
18she has a beautiful butt I think !!!
19I love her
20She's alright, not one of my favs, but she seems ok and hasen't really done much to make me wonder about her...
21Dont worry Mario will eat her share
22They didn't "pick" her, she just offered to Mario to travel around with him and he said if she was serious he would love for her to.
23She spent a lot of time growing up in Spain and knows the culture and the language quite well. So although she does not eat the meat she can contribute with everything else, bring more attention to Mario's show, and have a blast herself, which was her intent.
Oh, Im sorry - because she was hosted by a Spanish family and spent some time there, she must be the expert.
I wont point out how it reeks of appropriation and such. We'll just ignore that.
Kinda smells like Gwen Stefani and her pet Asians.
LOL
24She was an exchange student and lived with a family in Spain. That is how she speaks fluent Spanish. She considers them her "adopted" family and they consider her their "adopted" family.
Found this info online:
"Gwyneth Paltrow spent the summer of her high school sophomore year as an exchange student in Talavera de la Reina, Spain and has since visited the town and her host family several times a year. The town officially "adopted" her as one of its own at a ceremony in 2003."
Don't see the big deal and why people can't stand her. I could understand if they knew her personally. But I highly doubt it. I hand it to celebs to be so hated about on gossip sites and continue in the business. I'm sure the perks of the lifestyle don't hurt
25i haven seen her out in ages
