I don't have to shut a darned thing. Bottom line, why can't this self absorbed twit just stay home, rent some movies, and hang out there? She lost her kids and hasn't made one iota of a change in her lifestyle since that happened. In fact, she's been out and about causing havoc more than ever. It's sad, actually, that she needs THAT much attention that she is willing to sacrifice what should be the most important thing in her world. This isn't something orchestrated by Federline, this is something she has done all by herself. He didn't introduce her to drugs, she was doing them long before she met him. He didn't force her into marrying him, she pursued and proposed to him. Yeah, he went along for the ride, yeah, he took the carrot she dangled, yeah, he ended up richer for that. But SHE is just as culpable for the mess her marriage ended up being. She is not an innocent victim. How can anyone look at this girl and think that she deserves to have custody of her dog, much less two beautiful sweet boys? She needs to get her sh*t together and start acting like someone's mom, because she IS. Either that, or give up custody all together.

And please spare me the "she needs to eat", "she can party if she wants", "she should be able to go get coffee" crap. Right now, the eyes of the world and more importantly, the eyes of the court, are on her behavior. Now is the time to show a little decorum.

I agree JennaV- I her mom and Jaime need to get her back to LA (Louisiana) asap. If that means they have to hogtie her and drag her ass onto a plane, then thats what she needs to do. She does not need to be in Los Angeles right now. She needs to get away and get out of the public eye for an indefinate amount of time. Only then will she be able to start sorting her life out and figuring out what it will take to get her career back..or if its even worth having a career in show biz.

Well it doesn't look like her family is staging any sort of constructive intervention. If anything they seem to be partaking in her self-destructive behaviour.

If she is to make any sort of recovery (and I use the word 'recovery' in lieu of 'comeback' because it's patently clear that she needs to focus on her health and family right now) she's going to have to step away from the limelight for a year, maybe more. She needs to face her demons, deal with her issues and start living a more peaceful, drama-free, drugs-n-alcohol free, stable life.

That's perhaps the only way she can attempt to get her kids back. And once her life is in order, she can focus on reviving her career. Until then, any minor professional achivement of hers will continue to be eclipsed by her personal drama and before you know it she'll end up like another Anna Nichole Smith.

Intervention won't do anything if the person doesn't think they have a problem. And it doesn't look like she cares if she gets her kids back.

That's precisely Spears' problem, Ginger. She doesn't want to be helped which is why she continues to surround herself with people she knows won't stand up to her and people she's convinced will encourage and enable her self-destruction.

Thats the whole point of having an intervention, because the person who need intervening cant make their own decisions because theyve gotten too caught up in their own "reality" If poeple waited for all the drug addicts to realize they have a problem to intervene...well that would kinda defeat the puspose, huh?

Ok, I just re-read my last post and I dont think it made very much sense. The whole point of an intervention is because the person cant see what they are doing wrong..thats why other people need to step in and take over the decision making process for a while. NO, you cannot make someone want help, but you can help someone see that they need help...you can open their eyes to what is really going on and make them see how badly they screwed up when left to their own devices. Thats what an intervention is, and once that happens thats when the healing begins.

I just hope Britney is letting herself be influenced by Jaime and not the other way around. That would just be tragic if Britney managed to suck Jaime into that lifestyle.

I understand what an intervention is, but she's so delusional that she may be beyond reaching with an intervention. A week ago everyone thought that she would wake up or be suicidal if she lost her kids, but it looks like she just used that as an opportunity to step up her craziness.
