I don't understand people who think celebrities have to announce.

Maybe JLo has a history of miscarriage. Maybe it's her first pregnancy and she just wants to enjoy it herself for awhile. Maybe she's not pregnant at all, just on fertility drugs that can make a woman look "obviously" pregnant. Maybe her tour promoters will pull their support if their headlining act is pregnant and has an increased insurance risk. Who knows and who cares? She doesn't have to announce anything.

I dont agree that she doesnt have to say anything. Her job is to be in the public eye(which she LOVES).... She has wanted to have a baby for so long and has made that fact very public...why would she hide it now and deny it?? It doesnt make any sense.

I almost think its insulting for her to continue to avoid talking about her pregnancy. Its painfully obvious.

Be careful...i made some joking comment last week about her being "fat" and i got reamed by some commenters. yikes!!

Novaraen maybe she doesn't want to jinx herself.. She could've had miscarriages in the past, and if all the media speculation in past years is true, she has had difficulty getting pregnant. I've always heard it's best to wait until the 1st trimester is over before announcing anything, so she COULD be waiting for that (no idea how far along she is).

I love her. Its so great seeing a celeb with a real body and who truly, honestly appreciates and shows off her curves. Those models who claim they're "curvy" should refer to JLo when they get confused and want to claim they're not beanpoles.

Novarean, if she needed fertility drugs or did IVF and had more than one embryo "take," she's highly likely to look a lot further along than she is.

And if her body is used to the performing/touring, there's no reason not to do it while pregnant. It's not a good idea to take up new strenuous activity, but dropping it suddenly while pregnant can shock the system and increase miscarriage risk as well.

Greggie...truth is we have no idea what is up with her. You're right...there are a miriad of reasons she might be keeping quiet. Yet none really make sense to me right now. Shes always been such a diva first and foremost...so keeping the speculation up is helping to keep people interested in her. So i dont doubt that is the reason. I respect your point though.

Anyway, I completely agree that one possibility is that she wants the hype and attention. I just don't think that possibility is enough to think the public is entitled to an announcement, or that she's being insulting and coy by not making that announcement.

What I don't get is they discuss every other aspect of their lives with the media let the fans be happy for her.

Did anyone actually catch her "performance" on GMA? It was by far the worst thing I have ever seen. I mean I wasn't expecting much but goodness I didn't think it would be THAT bad!!! The audience wasn't even into it, they were all just taking pics. I'm sure her concerts sold out because of her husband. I couldn't even watch the whole thing. Who would have ever thought that she could make Jenny From the Block seem like a masterpiece next to this crap!

i'm thinking that this is the same tactic she used with her relationship/marriage to Marc Anthony. Remember they never confirmed or denied anything. Even the pictures that later came out of her wedding were very vague. I think this is their way to get away from the 'bennifer' syndrome that happened in her life before.

I imagine she is not saying the words because the minute she does, the whole thing will be fair game. Thats all the press will want to talk about with her. Until then, THEY are the ones being coy. Notice, she wasn't even asked a direct question, it was "How are you?"

To me, there is really no need fer her to say the words. It's obvious, but if she doesn't want to talk about it, she shouldn't have to talk about it.

My friend works in a travel company that makes J. Lo's travel arrangements for her tour. My friend's manager booked the whole tour only to get a call from J. Lo's camp telling her that "all dates are now tentative because of Ms. Lopez' pregnancy."
