Madonna looked typically hyperfit decked out in her tracksuit, vitamin water and Bose headphones leaving the gym in New York yesterday afternoon. While London has been her home for some time, Manhattan will always be quintessentially Madonna and yesterday NYC was the locale for starting a new chapter in her career. Madge is reportedly in the works to leave Warner Brothers, her record label for the past 25 years and sign a ten year $120 million recording/touring/merchandising deal with Live Nation, which up until now primarily promotes live events. Good for Madonna, especially since she's hurting for cash these days, ah, kidding. It's not like Madonna makes many bad career decisions, so hopefully this will just mean more from the queen of pop for years to come.

i still think she sells not as much as before though
1I can't see Madonna ever retiring.
2She doesn't ages!!
3Good for her
4i heart her adidas outfit. so cool and matching. i would love to get some of that too!
5Did'nt she just adopt a kid? Shouldn't she say home?
6oops! stay home
7Didn't she start her own music label year ago? Isn't Maverick or something her label? Why doesn't she just release her music on her own label? Or did that label go away?
8the label thing didn't work out
9OMG I love the tracksuit
!
10I need one!
I do like Madonna, but I don't know if I can see her being around for another 10 years - making music or whatnot. We shall see.
11live nation is evil
12I just....I think...oh man. I just won't say anything at all.
13That look is soooo 1995 Britpop. Figures she'd try and steal it from someone else. She was never done anything original in her life.
She sucks!
14Madonna's last tour brought in 195 Million so for anyone to say she's not original or does nothing is crazy. Right now she is worth 300 Million which in my opinion is not enough considering what a legend she is. I think it's awful and sexist to say "well she's old and lets see if she can make anything in 10 years". Wow no one would ever say that about Elvis if he was still around. She has 3 children so naturally I could see her working to secure the lives of her children. I bet she will be a billionaire by the time she gets into her golden days. I mean she's always going to be worth something. Even when she departs this earth she will always make money.
15Over rated. Over paid. Under fed. Why the clamour?
16just like brit brit she used sexually to sell records...
17thats a lot of money
18she has to work to secure the lives of her children? are you kidding??? Her kids were secured a LONG TIME AGO.
Madonna is what she is because of her fans... she's fake but she's made millions/billions off of promoting herself and the general public bought it. I have no respect for someone who has done the things she has done..one being that she changed her northern American accent to a British one overnight, then back again. I mean, how can you be that shallow?
19Let's talk about the bottom line for a sec. Does this mean Madonna's CDs will be cheaper? Because that's all I care about. Check it out:

Dude, people buy her CDs so just get over it. She's not EVERYwhere like OTHER stars, so just be grateful she works, does some interviews, does great shows and disappears till she's ready to do it all again. THAT's what celebrity TRUEly is. =)
She makes a HUGE difference in this world through charity work..not just Africa; she does charity work anonymously cuz she TRUEly cares.
21it's not like we've seen her doing anything lately...
22She's a man... I swear.. : \
23does it matter at this point?
24veronicaraye Actually she just did a HIGHLY successful tour last summer ( the biggest tour by a female, EVER )...she's been working on her album all year ( hip hop themed ) ...she's been working with her charity Raising Malawi in Africa...AND she's been being mom and wife! So yah, it's not like she's just lazing around. =)
25she looks like a bloody man.
26hate her.
