The ladies got hot on the red carpet last night for the AMAs. Here are some of the best and worst of the evening. Katharine McPhee went short and backless in her sexy mini. Beyonce looked better performing in her hot short sparkly dress (stay tuned) but still stood out in blue on the red carpet. She loves to go glam but we felt like this was a bit too mermaidy for us. Ashlee went simple and safe while Tori Spelling showed off her growing belly. Carmen disappointed us a little. She looks great but we're not loving the hair.
Gwen is definitely making a statement, and it's buy my album where I am sporting this same look. She sure has lost her Kingston weight and is totally back in shape. As for Sarah Silverman, we get it, you're a comedian so you don't have to go all out like the performers. You are cute when you try so maybe for these big events you can do a little more to show us you care more about comfort every once in awhile. 2gwen, ashlee and kate look great. carrie underwood doesn't look like herself, she looks like everyone else. katherine mcphee looks like she's trying too hard and paris looks like crap
3Gwen's outfit looks like it was cheaply made. I realize it's just white cotton, but even the belt looks like part of a kid's halloween costume from Target. Hmm.
Nelly Furtado's dress is my favorite. Don't know why, but I'd totally wear it.
4Kat needs to stop trying to be some sexy vixen she's not. She's trying way to hard in my opinion.

The rest are HIDEOUS....especially Katherine McPhee...and while we are on the subject who the hell let her in...and how is she relevant for coming 2nd place in American Idol and not doing anything since except missing the AI tour because she thought she was too good for it and sucking the face of a 50 year old man?

28Liza, I don't know who she is really but, I don't think it's an accident. Nobody could possible walk out of their house dressed like that, and think...this is the perfect outfit..I look great. I think your right, she does it on purpose.
29KATE WALSH! SHe is ALWAYS stunning! I love her! I wonder if Sarah Silverman felt good dressed like that. Nelly Furtados bangs are too thick. She has such beautiful eyes, why hide them? I get the look Carmen was going for but the hair is just too pasted down.

33I love Sarah Silverman, and I think it's great she doesn't feel like she has to go totally all out for an event...but that's not an excuse for swimming in men's clothes! She looks ridiculous and about 20 lbs heavier than she is. I'm a little disappointed.

36aw, ashlee... i miss the somewhat rebellious fun-loving girl she was on her show a couple years ago on MTV. anybody remember that? she really doesn't look like herself here.
