Considering the last time we saw a clean shaven Jake Gyllenhaal was in May, I guess it was no surprise to see him covering up that pretty little face of his with a beard stopping by Letterman yesterday afternoon. The scruffy actor managed to sign autographs in both casual wear and a sharp suit. Neither time did he close his mouth, but both are pretty nice. On the show Jake talked a little about Rendition, a bit about the Halloween costumes his father would construct for him as a child, but the highlight was when told a story about his recent time in London promoting the movie. 29I think he looks fine with a beard. At least his beard is neatly trimmed (along with his hair). I grew up in the 70s, though. I like hair on men, including on their faces. Beards do have some interesting advantages and applications...
