Britney was all smiles when she turned herself in to the police last night, and naturally she had no problem sharing a few words with a reporter afterwards - watch the video here. She described the experience as amazing and then asked where the party was at. We'd like to think she was joking, but of course you can never really tell with Brit.
As always, we want to believe that Britney is taking some steps in the right direction despite her seemingly questionable public behavior. That being said, supposedly Britney is a lot more grounded than she is leading us to believe. According to music producer Dallas Austin, "She is very sane when she talks, believe it or not. She is normal and knows what is going on." He also said that Britney knew she wasn't ready for her VMA performance the night beforehand and that she just wanted to go home and be with her kids.
While it is encouraging to hear that Britney may be more responsible and with it than she seems, we're still hoping that soon we'll get to see more evidence.

14I think she is fully aware of what's going on around her but her rebellious attitude towards it is not helping out with her case regarding her children and everything else happening to her. She really needs to take responnsibility for all of her actions but she doesn't seem to no matter how bad things turn for her. Oh well, seeing people like her make me realize why I'd rather not be famous.

17Yeah, see...we do not know her at all. We can all act like we do all day and night....but there are a few points I want to make here. First off, she is a child star and we all know that most of them end up having problems with fame and their personal lives. Second, a lot of people in the world make mistakes and have serious problems, but their problems don't get broadcast all over the tv and internet...yeah, maybe she calls them before she goes out or whatever...give the chick some slack already. She needs help thats obvious and when she is ready or hits rock bottom, absolute rock bottom she will reach out. I can understand having your opinion, but unless you are Britney Spears herself you can't really sit there and judge her because you are not perfect.

23Britney knows how to work the media is all. If she acted the way she should, no one would care. (RE: Christina Aguilera) This way, she gets every cover, every bit of gossip, everyone to keep her name out there. I mean, what do we really expect her to do around the bazillion of photographers that follow her--confess? Cry for help? Explain herself? Come on! I adore Ms. Spears, and I can't imagine a day without her...
24lizzy, you cannot be serious. Everything that Britney did is HER OWN FAULT, not Kevin's. She has her own brain and she can make her own decisions. It's not like K-Fed was sitting with a gun to her head saying she had to do everything he told her to. She wanted this life and she got it. If she didnt, she obviously wouldnt be out every night and she would still have her children!

27If anything Kevin is a victim of this self absorbed conniving ho who chased him down, knowing he was in a relationship with a woman he had kids with. He was a back-up dancer with top acts like Justin Timberlake, but he can't really return to that career now. She tried to keep him by having kids really quickly, then the cold b**ch dumps him via text message while he's out trying to promote his music project.

Britney uses people for her PR and throws them away when she gets bored or needs a new fix. Two husbands, and now her kids. I'm surprised London the dog has lasted this long.

So true (sadly). And someone said we don't know her and no one is perfect.
1. Most people don't get their children taken away from them and get told by a judge that they endanger their children and that they are a habitual abuser of drugs and alcohol. Yes, everyone parties in their own way, but few do it to the extent that it effects their custody of their children. Most mothers do not walk around in public with literally no pants on. One of the biggest jobs of being a mom is being a role model to her own kids. Her constant intentional flashing will hurt her sons eventually (if you don't want to show it, cover it).
2. We don't know her, but we do know what she CHOSES to shove down the public's throat about her. She makes sure her every move is photographed. That says something about her. Like it or not, actions speak for themselves. It is a fact that she encourages the paparazzi and doesn't take the steps that other mega stars take to avoid the press. Lindsey and Britney are very much alike.
