Matt finally landed in Japan today (and was welcomed by a crowd of fans) after making a last minute decision to hit the Boston premiere of Gone Baby Gone. He's still promoting The Bourne Ultimatum, but these days he is talking more about his BFF's big venture into the world of directing. Not only did Matt adorably admit that he's seen the movie 10 times already, but also praises Ben new talent. Matt said, "[Directing] is really huge for Ben. Not that writing and acting aren't important, but directing is at a whole different level... He ran this whole show."
Ben must be thrilled with all the positive feedback, especially since we knew how nervous he was about it.

24Matt had split with his last girlfriend months before it was actually announced in the press. And the Minnie Driver thing is not true - they had broken up a couple of weeks before the show.
