Ryan Gosling is GQ's cover boy this month to promote his new movie Lars and the Real Girl (more on that later). In the interview he made us love him even more with his ridiculously sweet revelation about his relationship with his ex, Rachel McAdams. He said,
“I mean, God bless The Notebook. It introduced me to one of the great loves of my life. But people do Rachel and me a disservice by assuming we were anything like the people in that movie. Rachel and my love story is a hell of a lot more romantic than that.”
Now if only they would reunite in real life and maybe even on screen to share that amazing love story with the world. It only seems fair to all of us fans who are heartbroken about their breakup. It's a good thing we can keep watching this over and over again to remember the good old days.

28I did not like The Notebook but I did enjoy seeing these two as a couple. They weren't overexposed, posing for every pap, having sex in hot tubs and all that. You could tell they respect(ed) each other.
29The Notebook was a love story...and it was a well done love story. If you arent into that kind of thing of course you wouldn't like the movie. Even if I didn't like that kind of movie, I wouldnt' say it sucked because it is s stellar example of its genre.

44Glad he said something to break the silence-as if it's anyone's business but theirs. He is right though-we all kind of imagined them in their respective movie roles. The video clip of them at the MTV best kiss award show is priceless, but even there intially in his reluctance there's something amiss. Too bad. Maybe SHE'S not as sweet as she seems. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
45Ohhh, Ryan. That article just made me tear up. It's nice to see that he doesn't have a single ill word to say about her, and it sounds like they both worked really hard to try and make it work. Relationships with love and respect like that, real love and respect, are difficult to find. I imagine it was difficult to let go of.
And to everybody who says that he should get back together with her, why are you assuming that he even has the option? As if it were his decision, and his only? It sounds more mutual than anyone leaving anyone else.
