Straight from the set of her movie, Hilary Duff was showing off all sorts of outfits at Los Premios MTV Latin America 2007 last night in Mexico City. She showed off her stems on stage (yowza), but didn't take home any awards at the big show. Instead, Avril Lavigne nabbed two, for Best International Pop Artist and Song of the Year for "Girlfriend." The event was hosted by the always adorable Diego Luna (but sadly, no Gael in sight). The big exciting performance of the night, however, was The Cure, who opened the show and received the first ever Influencia Award. Sounds like a pretty awesome award show, right?

19I watched this last night. I'm not a big fan because I don't like that is mostly Mexican bands/artist, although now they are including a lot of Argentineans artist but still there's a big lack of many other Latin American singers that should be there.
20I must say that these were wayyyyy better than the American’s MTV awards.
Keep working on it MTV Latino America, next time add more Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil or maybe a different country each year
