Ashley and Mary Kate were on the Today Show this morning to promote their fashion empire. They spoke about their brand and working since they were 9 months old. Meredith Vieira even tried to question MK about her eating disorder and Ashley jumped in to answer rather than MK. I kinda think it was in poor taste for Meredith to ask. It had nothing to do with their clothing line and MK was clearly a bit shocked she was questioned about it. Other than that, the interview was super cute watching the twins talk about their life. I love how down-to-earth these girls seem to be despite their crazy success and billion dollar business.

ashley really is more attractive! I wish she would be blonde again though!
1That was innapropriate. How rude of Meredith. I would like to see Ashley go back to blonde too.
2How rude, indeed! That was very un-called for, imo. I really like them, they seem soooo much more down-to-earth than other celebs around their age.
3They are both so cute, and seem very down to earth. I also like Ashely's hair blonde too but, she is trying something different. I even felt uncomfortable for them when, Meredith asked Mary Kate about old eating disorder. BlondeSugar, your right that was rude of her to ask.
4Wow, that was really rude, and the conversation had nothing to do with the girls personally, it was all about their brand and their work. That was very tabloidish of Meredith and uncalled for. I like how the girls deflected answering that specific question, and kept the topic about their hard work and their brand.
5BeachBarbie, I'm going now, but I'll be back on after the gym. Talk to you soon!
6that was so rude and out of line...i love these 2 girls they are smart, classy and so well spoken...good for them
"stay far from timid, only make moves when your hearts in it and live the phrase sky's the limit."
7I have always loved these girls, they are truly class acts. They are regular 20 year olds that do not act above anyone, or feel the need to flash tier cooches. I do not even mind the way they dress, at least they each have a distinctive style.
8im deaf, im aggravated bc that video isnt closed capitoned, can someone please type out what exactly meredith asked and what exactly they said in response. thanks!!!!
9ashley looks really pretty!! i like her hair blonde or brunette, anything better than mk.the two look so dif now-ashley is classy and mk is grungy..
10wow,she was very rude!!
11sarahstyles - now I can't get my youtube to work, essentially meredith goes on for about 4 minutes asking all about the like and their company and their work over the course of 20 years (since they've been working for as long as they've been alive) and she then drops the bomb by asking if events in their life have had effects on their work, I think the quote goes something like "how have your lives affected your work, I know you had an eating disorder Mary-Kate..." and Ashley steps right in and answers very generally that they've worked very hard and that things happen when you're growing up and everyone has issues, and then Meredith presses the issue again and Mary-Kate tactfully dodges the question by answering very generally about needing to stay true to yourself... yada yada. If you watch you can see Mary-Kate's eyes sort of narrow towards the end of the video clip. Hopefully that helps you!
12sorry that should read all about their work life, not all about the like.
13wow, how rude.
14it's cute how protective and professional ashley's quick response was.
hey babe, thank for the news...
strange days indeed : )
love )
so... which one said i do?
15why is it inappropriate? the young girls who look up to them are right around the age group that anorexia could start at. it unfortunate that she has to deal with it in such a public way but that is the life she chose. her experience with anorexia her recovery and a willingness to talk about it, could save a young life
16i know he thinks you're fine and stuff but does he know how to wind you up?
I just watched it and after Meredith asked the first time she should have realized that it was inappropriate, but she asked again.
17I still love them. Regardless of what color Ashley's hair is, it looks so much better shorter like that, so much healthier. They sound so much older/wiser than 20 tho. You know Brit would have been up there smacking her gum! haha
18being a fashion interview and all- i think it would have been more appropriate for viera to ask MK,..why should young women look to you in regards to fashion when you tend to dress like a homeless pigeon lady and even sometimes forget to wear pants when you go out?
19
love ya siouxsie
20i know he thinks you're fine and stuff but does he know how to wind you up?
they are very sweet and clever girls.
21I loved Ashley's new haircut.

22They are sooo un-cute and the way they dress just makes it worse.
23love ya too flutter
24ugh i hate ashleys hair that color
25i wish i had sound
The only way I could tell them apart was their hair color. They totally threw me off. I just can't understand why they wear such baggy clothes.
26Love marykate & Ashley, but how annoying is Meredith! Did marykate every even make a statement to the public about her stint with anorexia??? i don't remember. So why is it still coming up? bad question Meredith!
27I love them. They are so classy and level-headed, and as much as people complain about how they dress, they dress much better than all their slutted-out peers. Ashley's outfit is fabulous. I love the shoes!
28I love MK & Ashley. Always will. Meredith was way out of line. I can't believe she pressed on a second time. That makes me angry.
29The question about the eating disorder was downright insensitive. They probably won't go back there for a while.
