I'm proud that Hilary is still a virgin, my little girls look up to her... and if she remains that way until she's married that means she sticks to HER OWN MORALS, and it doesn't matter whether you agree w/them or not. Find another person in this day and age who actually 'sticks to their guns' as the saying goes, there aren't a whole lot left.

Did it ever occur to any of you people that she told the world her sexual status not because she wanted to or because it's anyone's business but because she knows she has a very young fan base and she knows there are a million STDs out there, people dying of AIDS? She has a responsibility to these young kids and I say if my kids are going to look up to someone I'd rather it be Hilary rather than Brit.

Not to mention the fact that whether she was to SAY it or not doesn't mean we wouldn't find out some other way... paparazzi pieces of crap!

Another thing, I also have a friend who waited a very long time before losing her virginity and even kissing a guy. Her mother was viciously raped and had told her the story of it. She was trying to make sure we'd be very careful with our choices, not keep us from having sex. But it scared the crap out of her and she waited until she met someone she felt she could trust. Perhaps you all should leave well enough alone and realize that just because someone doesn't have a religious reason to remain pure doesn't mean their reason isn't a good one.

Besides what's wrong w/only having one sexual partner when you're 35-40? What is wrong w/this country?? My parents were high school sweethearts, married young and stayed together until the day my father passed away at the age of 46. They were married for 25 years, never cheated, never separated... and they were happy. My brother and I do not have any half or step brothers or sisters and we grew up in a happy household w/both parents in it. Now, tell me... what is wrong with that?!

At the same time, not all people make the best choices w/their first marriage. I am divorced myself. Staying with only one partner for life and choosing to remain abstinent unless married are two different things. Perhaps she wants to see whether Joel is the right guy for her, not just for sex but for marriage as well.

Definitely should've gone in a younger magazine as well, but think about it... the magazines that target older women have the advantage in that the MOMS are more likely to pick them up. And when they're finished w/them their children might read as well...

LOL so carrying condoms means that you have sex? Funny I thought it was the other way around... the lack of them means that they were used, right? Maybe she keeps them just in case she might have sex. Maybe she wanted to make sure her friends that do have sex were protected. Maybe she bought them for someone else... who knows?

Number 1-who cares...Number 2-Everyone should read the book "Porn Generation" by Ben Shapiro, awesome book, and talks about how when all of these little poptarts come out, they present themselves as innocent and virginal to attract an audience ( look at Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, ect.) then as soon as they sell a couple of records the agents encourage them to become overtly sexual or have a "bad girl" image. I agree that it's a mistake to broadcast her virginity as it just puts an additional target on her back which as a celeb she doesn't have enough of those already? Plus, condom in that picture doesn't make her not a virgin. A condom can be used for other sexual activities that wouldn't compromise her virginity. That being said, if you are going to be doing that kind of stuff then what is the point of remaining a virgin because it is still sexual activity.

I really like Hilary Duff but she has gotten way too thin. Hil, just because everybody else looks anorexic and amaciated, doesn't mean you have to. Be different!
