After months of speculation, reported break-ups, maybe vacations, red carpet avoidance and only one real sighting there is finally some concrete proof that Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are dating. Here's a tiny scan from a newspaper showing photos of them together in Rome over the weekend but this week's People supposedly has the money shot of them holding hands and making out at LAX yesterday! Awww, so cute.

To make the whole thing even cuter, Reese went on Ellen this afternoon and when she asked Witherspoon about a certain costar in particular all Reese had to say was, "He's great!" Sooo, maybe now they can be a little more open with the romance? How much fun would that be? I must admit I was a bit skeptical, but seeing this they make a pret-ty adorable couple.
