Casey Affleck is still promoting Gone Baby Gone alongside his big brother, but these days he's catching our attention all on his own. He's talked about keeping his personal life out of the media and joked about not being a recognizable star, and in the process, Casey has won us over with his adorably snarky comments. His recent interview with Express is no exception, as he talks about disliking work and proves he doesn't take anything too seriously. Here are highlights:

  • On the role he enjoys most:
    "To be perfectly honest, I don't really enjoy playing anybody, except Casey Affleck lying on the couch watching the Red Sox. For whatever reason, it's either because it doesn't come naturally to me or because I'm just somehow inclined toward strife. I don't know what it is, but, usually, when I'm working, I'm not really having a good time."
  • On the 'Year of Casey':
    Does that mean I get a calendar? What does that mean about January? Is my year over? I feel like every year is another year of my life. I never realized the first 31 years were somebody else's.

Casey is a smartass, but there's something charming about his refusal to buy into the Hollywood lifestyle. That said, he might want to get used to becoming more popular since it looks like we'll be seeing a lot of this leading man in the future.
